I have seen that noted elsewhere that all photogrammetry buildings are dark. Looks highly unrealistic.

And also there are some instances of 'nuclear bright' buildings, I only seen them in London so far, St. Pauls Cathedral, Wembley Stadium etc..

But the overall nightlighting looks better to me.

The really big thing though is the increased performance, I'm really appreciating that.

  • They also improved night lighting

  • I was on a business trip the whole week and I just tried the beta today, God Lord, suddenly the A350 performance became so good to be true, like really really good. I wonder what magic Asobo did here,

  • Just did my first flight in the fenix, landed into fly tampas Sydney and didnt get any stutters through the entire flight, not on take off not in cruise not on landing.  This is the best its ever

That's been an issue for awhile now, amazed it's not been fixed yet as it's so obvious.

Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

There are plenty of things that should have been fixed a long time ago in MSFS 2020, so why should MSFS 2024 be any different?

In my completely unscientific testing...

I did some of that too. I have great performance, no complaints whatsoever. The only noticeable difference with SU3 is the much longer loading times.

Cheers, Bert

Wouldnt that mean that have to make 2 sets of PG? 1 day and 1 night?

No idea but the fact it works/worked (not checked) just fine in 2020 suggests it's a bug

Performance is greatly improved it seems. Even with fslabs i got stable fps now. I have 7800x3d and 9070xt. Just hope the artifacts with the gpu will be fixed. And see screenshot now the sims uses a lot of ram? I got 32gb and eve that is not enough? Same with swapfile. Not sure what that is. Maybe i buy 64gb ram. BUt man this sims is demanding. I only play at 2k res and medium settings.

London was magnificent at 2024 release but something happened in...SU2?...that gave us grass around London City Airport and the weird internal illumination of prominent London landmarks.

I suspect we'll have to wait a while before this crosses Asobo's radar...

No, they know about it. Been happening since SU3.

Also effects third party landmarks, like ini’s Doha and Dubai

The new night lighting looks great, now it just needs less warm/orange lighting, needs more white.

i upgraded to 64gb ram. THat was it. I now have ultra smoothie fps. Weird that just game uses so much now. its around 30-33 with medium settings on 2k. With fslabs and flytampa eham. But this did it. Everything in green.

I was on a business trip the whole week and I just tried the beta today, God Lord, suddenly the A350 performance became so good to be true, like really really good. I wonder what magic Asobo did here, like really wow 😳. Just picture, I used to get 50 or even 40 fps (with FG) and now comfortably 90 or even 100 under the same exact circumstances

I am glad for you, but it is very strange.  I am still getting excellent performance with 32 GB here (4k ultra settings), and I know a lot of other people are as well, so maybe it is just that scenario you are flying in, and EHAM is very memory intensive.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

noticed in SU4 BETA that introductory video is fixed to 60FPS witch eliminated a very annoying pixelation for some clips, maybe that is a hint to the sweet spot (optimized) of max FPS to play the sim?
