I tend to agree with the idea that if there is alien life that is capable of interstellar travel, they will avoid us until we mature.

Kind of a Star Trek non interference directive.

Apparently a few thousand people have found aliens over the years, but their cameras/IPhones never seem to work properly when it happens

  • I was abducted by aliens once.  As soon as they got a good look at me, they sent me back. 🤣

Kind of like in some large cities when you take a wrong turn and find yourself in a neighborhood that most people avoid.  At the very least the aliens lock their doors as they pass by.

The aliens might be particularly delicate.  They study us like we study gorillas... from afar.

And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

I would think aliens would look pretty much like us.  And we are so diverse in our looks given different body shapes and different facial features and racial differences; not to mention interracial children with mixed features it is not unlikely that aliens are walking around and studying us up close.  How would we know?

Not necessarily. There are interesting scientific theories about how species would look on different planets. On a larger planet with larger gravity, animals would likely not grow much vertically since that would be harder for blood circulation, balance, and could lead to more severe injuries. We would probably look more like a tortoise. Other environmental factors (like humidity, temperature, wind, ..) also could have a large impact.

There's another video where Brian talks about the possibility, perhaps likelihood, that super advanced alien probes could be so small we wouldn't even know they were there.

But do you think being more agnostic is a better choice? Is definitively stating no as bad as definitively stating yes, when we don't actually know?

I'm in a  doxastic state with low credence.🥸

I think for intelligent life to evolve the planet would be very similar to ours.  We have (the right stuff) for advancement.  I think our differences would be relatively minor to the degree they could pass as earthlings to physically be walking around here without us noticing them.

Agree.... but there is the principle of convergant evolution, where evolution finds the same sollution to a given problem.

Our only experience of that is this planet, of course, and we can only speculate, but certainly worth considering that if faced with the same environmental challenges, an alien species MIGHT be more similar that we think.

We will see the aliens later this month !

Presumably some of us will not, as they will apparently "not be viewable in my region".

Uh-oh, we got an evil trifecta coming our way: N-a-z-i salute in front of a rising sun and a communist red flag (USSR?). Bad, bad Kitty!

The aliens already have copyright laws? 🤣

My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.

I don't understand this news report. There's nothing about cats?

The amount of dumb word not allowed that has been splattered across the internet about this comet is staggering. People see conspiracy theories and/or aliens everywhere.

I agree, Chris

It's driving me nuts. A lot of it is social media grifting.

Avi Loeb was in a video this morning, explaining the reason the comet is behaving the way it is, but he then threw in "or it's a spaceship using it's thrusters". or some similar word not allowed. What he didn't add is that the chances of it being a spaceship are astronomically small.

Social media, YouTube and worse still Instagram is full of garbage now. Especially Instagram, that's full of fake AI videos, staged videos for likes and views. Moon landing, flat Earth and lots of other nonsensical dog poo resides there.
