No, because these kinds of questions are usually answered by other users. Or, you can quickly figure out whether other simmers are having the same issue.

thats customer service Im afriad mate.  The same thing over and over again, every day, every flight.

when youre cabin crew and you walk through a 380 with 500 punters on it with a tea pot saying "any tea"  and 300 people ask you for "coffee please" you want to lamp them one, but thats the job.

When you then walk through with bar cart and ask if they like a drink from the bar and 300 punters say "tea please"  or "what have you got"  you want to lamp them one again. but thats the job. You smile sweetly and say "wines, beers, juices, soft drinks?? " for the 10000th time that year

When you work in ops and you calling your 17th crew member out from standby at 4am on a sunday morning for a rubbish duty  and they ask "is there no one else"  you nicely say "no im afriad not"  then you move down the list and call the next one out,  again "is there no one else".....    its the job.  The punters pay your wages, they pay for your food, thats life.  Is the customer a moron sometimes, yes,   Do they pay your mortgage, yes.  Thats the game im afriad,  the customer is king.

I like  what //42 did. they made their lives more efficient for better customer support by implementing a better process. This is better for us as customers.

They are a top-tier developer and have been around for ages. This isn’t a hobby for them. I hope they stick around for a long time.

Discord is not structured customer support. It’s a comms channel that works better in some situations and worse in some. I would not default to Discord for many things.

I’m not sure the airline industry is a great benchmark for customer service. Often, it’s a textbook example of how not to do it. If I’ve got an issue with BA, I’m not hitting up Sean Doyle on Discord... I’m filling in a web form, getting a boilerplate response (often AI-generated), and waiting long enough to escalate it to CEDR.

42 haven’t removed support, they’ve just changed the channel. And from what others are saying, they’re replying quickly.

I'm sorry if this has been asked before (and answered), but after seeing videos on YT, I'm still not understanding how CP sees which plane I'm flying? How many airplanes does it have ready made views for, like does it have setups for every plane in the Standard version of ms2024, or do I have to import them from CP's Community? And does it automatically change if I go from ie. the Cessna 182 to the Airbus A330, or the Fbw A380?

I'm very frustrated with the build in view system in MS2024 and was hoping that CP would be a good alternative.

I don't always stop and look at airplanes.........Oh wait, Yes I do.

CP stores (unlimited) view settings per individual plane.

In my case: All. For each plane CP presented/imported a bunch of different (standard) views.

You don't have to, but you can. Also importing own views from other (similar) planes...

Yes.

Did you check the official tutorial? IMHO that's the only video you need...The original MSFS 2024 camera system is far from bad - but it didn't take me even fifteen minutes to much prefer ChasePlane.

Thank you, just what I wanted to hear :-) I guess CP will be my first buy when I get MS2024 up and running.

I'm pretty sure you won't regret it. However, be patient, it took me a few hours fiddling around and experimenting to finally get it to a point where I sat back and was blown away by what I was seeing on my screen. Granted, some of the views should have been available in the SIM from day 1 but this is a wonderful package that goes way beyond anything I've used before. Very slick UI and boundless options, have fun with it!

Chaseplane is a "game changer" for all people using a head tracker like the Tobii in my case. It's now possible to freeze the view you are looking at, and then, back to center.

When I install chaseplane will it back up my original MSFS2024 controls and views if I want to restore it?

Hey guys - genuine question... i know CP doesnt support VR as yet, but for those who used it in 2020 and in VR, how long did it take for it to work ? Just curious as tried disabling CP but still CTD when entering VR so obviously a no go... and the program is too good to delete...

Cheers

Yes, but you will have to desinstall Chaseplane to restore them. That's why I preferred to create new profiles in MSFS by deleting myself all existing camera settings.

It works in VR right now. You just need to switch to VR in main menu. This way you won´t get a CTD when starting a flight.
