says 60% off on the pmdg website for 2020 user's. So they lied about the discount.

Sucks to be someone who just wanted basic '24 compatibility and didn't want a rebuild.

PMDG haven't "rebuilt" anything. This is a product update akin to Fenix's BFU and to iFly's upcoming SP1, both of which are entirely free. A big update, but an update nevertheless.

This is just PMDG being PMDG.

Whats funny (or sad) about this entire thread is:  EVERYONE here will be purchasing this.  We all know that.  Just some will complain first.

Whether it's actually a rebuild or not, PMDG are CLAIMING the cost is because it's a rebuild and right now I have no proof either way.

PMDG claims a lot of things that turn out to be false.

This is what happens without competition. As I shut up, I won't have a choice accept to pay the upgrade price.

Well I dont have the 800. 700 and 900 for me. Cool to fly in 2020 for now. 60% discount it seems for returning customers (full listed price is not up yet) so I guess we'll see.

Which means I get to wait until Jan/Feb if I even choose to upgrade. And pending reviews and upgrades vs price? Again, we shall see. There's competition now.

I just have a hunch it will be released at 1AM UK time, for once I'm lucky that I'm working Nightshift.

Your Sunderland time is now 9:30pm and PMDG/Las Vegas Time is 1:30pm. So, your projection of (local) 1am sounds right...🙂...5pm PMDG time...

The suspense in the air feels as if an MSFS 747 Queen is about to be released by PMDG...🙂...

The manuals are now available for viewing at the link specified earlier. Here's the "What's new" list

PMDG released its first 737 simulation in July 2003. With each successive Flight Simulator platform, we have not only integrated new host-system capabilities but also advanced the fidelity of our aircraft systems and flight modeling. This new release continues that progression, building on a legacy recognized by Boeing, with whom PMDG partnered to assist in developing a certified training solution.

Below is an overview of what is new in this version:

Cabin & Interior

The cabin has been updated to the latest “Boeing Sky Interior” configuration and includes a fully functional Flight Attendant panel with nine selectable lighting modes. These modes can be activated manually or controlled via automated logic.

FS2024-Native Modeling & Performance

All airframe models have been rebuilt to utilize the MSFS 2024 extended LOD and modular architecture. The result is improved performance across the board, including higher frame rates and reduced memory consumption on both PC and console platforms. Most materials and textures were regenerated for FS2024, improving lighting behavior, particularly on transparent components and backlit controls. Despite the increase in detail and system depth, the 737 achieves performance levels exceeding those of default, less complex aircraft.

Flight Model

The entire flight and ground model has been updated to MSFS 2024 specifications. Feedback from type-rated 737 pilots within our development team has been incorporated to refine handling characteristics. Special focus was given to edge-of-the-envelope behavior. For example, an engine-out landing at the maximum demonstrated crosswind component (33 knots) is now achievable within the model’s aerodynamic envelope.

Flight Deck Updates

The cockpit features a fully new mesh, high-resolution texture set, and reworked lighting using modern reflective-material properties. Numerous components are now position-adjustable, and animation density has been significantly expanded. Optional equipment, such as the Avtech Tyee chronograph, MMR units, and the updated Gables G6992 Transponder/TCAS, allows users to configure the aircraft to match a variety of real-world operator setups.

Additional stowage and interaction points have been added, enabling placement of personal items such as a flight bag, jacket, or beverage, contributing to a more operationally authentic environment.

Exterior Improvements

Landing gear assemblies, engine nacelles, and wings have been rebuilt in detail. Control-surface animations and wing-flex behavior have been refined for improved realism. Freighter variants (BCF/BDSF) feature all-new, fully modeled cargo bay interiors.

Systems Refinements

All major systems underwent a detailed review and update. Many refinements reflect subtle behaviors observed on the actual 737. For example, minor fluctuations in the CLB/DES rate indicator may occur during small cabin-pressure disturbances—such as those caused by a lavatory flush—mirroring real-aircraft nuances.

Sound Environment

The audio package has been completely re-engineered using extensive aircraft-mounted recordings. Every switch, relay, and mechanical component has its own spatialized 3D sound source. Much of this work was performed by a sound engineer with 737 flight experience, with additional validation from maintenance and ramp personnel. External engine-start audio, for example, was tuned based on feedback from ground crews familiar with the exact acoustic signature.

Users may select between a standard sound profile and a noise-reduction headset simulation, the latter offering a more representative cockpit environment.
