Worth pointing out that there are two broad types of opinions:-

  • Those that put forward the individual's views on the given subject,

and,

  • Those that attempt to deconstruct and invalidate others' views and opinions

Both are fine I guess but the distinction is worth noting because, if a contributor spends most of their time engaging in the latter type, this will be perceived quite differently by others than someone spending most of their time engaged in the former.

And the 2020 one works mostly fine in 2024 with the spawning on the runway work around.

The biggest issue is that the walk around mode that Asobo forces you to start in when spawning parked breaks the WASM, which is why spawning on the runway mostly works.

I could never get this to work pre-SU4 beta.  Since the SU4 beta/final release, even spawning at a gate in the 2020 738 works fine for me.  I always subsequently load a modified 'Apron' state with jetway replacing stairs.  The biggest annoyance I have found with it, is TCAS mistakes your own plane for a traffic alert, so there's constantly a yellow airplane warning on the MFD.  Your mileage may vary.

I think they did a great job on the new sounds. And I say that someone who criticised PMDG in this very thread.

Yes, agreed. PMDG do have their issues, no doubt about it. 👍

I thought the 2020 sounds were pretty good.

hearing the before and after sound set was quite illuminating

Some that struck me were how much quieter the APU start is now, as well as the rich complexity of the cockpit power-on

the also good news for us is that Randazzo said the guy who’s doing the sounds for the 738 is the same guy who was previously working on the 777 (confirming some rumors on the delays there, too).

he didn’t say whether Echo 19 will also be in on the 777 sounds (that seemed to be an issue of deadlines more than anything). Will be interesting to see how those turn out.

Debate is great!

Otherwise, as others have said, we could all just wait for the post on FS Elite. 🤙

After loads of moaning everyone vanishes to frantically press F5

But you can order a couple of coffee cups in the meantime.

Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).

Well, they confirm the 60% discount for 2020 owners, so now the question is the actual cost is the question.

Since those 60% are supposed to match a „cup of coffee“ the actual full cost should mathematically not more than 30 bucks if you order the triple grande latte with bells and whistles… but here we are again.

75USD*0,4=30USD.

I get 20 coffees for that in Italia.
