Well to be fair, if you are sitting in the real thing as a pilot you have your noise cancelling headphones on and won't hear most of the sounds anyway.

So of course all the work into a soundset is more for people who want to hear how stuff sounds instead of for people who want to get the pilot experience. 😉

nnot so fast... as a real pilot on many bizjets I am against noise cancelling and never use one

People with the 2020 737 are seeing a 60% discount on the placeholder price when adding it to their cart

I just bought it for $375M … and a pastry with my quad shot Latte.

Correct. 60% loyalty discount. So I only pay 150Million instead of 375 Million. 😉

All jokes aside, considering PMDG's usual price range that would put the price at around 30 Bucks for existing customers.

That's a lot of coffee, is all I'm saying.

For something that is barely updated too.

Where's my 744...

In P3D.

Edit: While I was joking, I just realized that PMDG never released it for 2020! So yeah, sorry, it is really only in P3D. Maybe next year.

A. If you can afford to eat your labor overages and stick to a fixed price, then you’re overcharging your clients.

which is ironic because that’s what “we” are accusing PMDG of doing.

B. You talk about commitment to your customers - which you give in the form of a formal estimate. And I’m sure that comes with a long list of T&Cs.

I don’t remember getting a formal estimate from PMDG, or any other dev - do you?

we don’t need to “apologize” for PMDG because there’s nothing for which to apologize.

It’s called “business”. And business people charge whatever they feel is a fair price for their work.

For e.g., I’m positive your firm doesn’t let your clients tell you what to charge, right?

Did you even read what I wrote? You are responding as if I “accused” PMDG of unfair or illegal business practices. The fact that you are attempting to give a CPA business lessons is a clear indication that you are not comprehending what I am writing. You’re also responding to points I didn’t make. How difficult is this: Don’t make representations that you can’t keep! When I quote on a project, I don’t even know 100% what will be included.  I get prior year tax returns, a brief discussion of the prospects business, plans for expansion, and potential changes for the current year. PMDG has the entire project in house! They don’t wait for me to tell them what else is involved. They are “allowed” to charge $500 dollars for a 737, but that is NOT THE POINT! This is simply about making representations that are NOT reliable. I’m not going to get into a pissing war with you about how businesses operate, because I do this for a living. I’m simply opining on the way it “feels” as a customer, when we don’t feel we are being told the truth. It really is that simple. I am done with this now.

Some people play AVSim more than they play flight sim.. this is the game for them, going on and on and on and on till you give up and they claim victory. The only real move is not to play.

Just move on with your day 🙂
