For some crazy reason I want a Metroliner aka "the flying sewer pipe".

Another good one, that we forgot...it seems...

I was flying quire regularly that RAZBAM SA227 Metroliner...once upon a time...🙂...

Quite a unique and distinctive long-pipe shape...unmistakable...

Razbam *may* be making one for MSFS if they fully transitioned off of DCS at this point. Will try to confirm.

Gary, yes, it was you that had stated earlier this bit of update directly from RSR....I'd mentioned this to Chris above, but sorry, could not recall who it was that said it...memory is a bit hesitant these days...🙂...

Thanks.

I would love to see the PMDG Jetstream 41 in MSFS 2024. In fact, I would ask Robert Randazzo to halt production of the 747 for this task to be undertaken, but I fear that Boomer would order a tactical nuclear strike on my home town in protest

Version 2 of NextGen's EMB110 is coming to 2024 in the next two months: https://msfsaddons.com/2026/01/02/nextgen-simulations-breaks-silence-with-emb-110-v2-announcement-and-saab-updates/

As someone who still uses 2020 (due to the majority of my favorite scenery and aircraft addons not having fully working 2024 versions yet), I'm hoping we'll see more for 2020 continue through at least the first half of the coming year. Perhaps Carenado's Saab 340 will make it over since they've transferred a few of their other 2024 aircraft to 2020 at this point (and it started life as a P3D-era aircraft anyway).

Also, this is coming likely by the end of the month: https://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/threads/casa-c-212-200-for-fs20-fs24.460367/

I was just about going to express the same sentiments…your wish being clearly a risky proposition…🙂

No, it has to be the 744 first, and then maybe the JS41, unless the (limited) resources are required to be diverted for another (better) version of the NG…

Nice…

Good to know about the upcoming EMB-110 for MSFS2024. Just this week, I caught someone flying an XP EMB-11 in the Screenshots Forum, so, I was thinking about this one for MSFS.

Thanks for the update…will be looking forward to this (interesting) twin turboprop…

I like it, but I feel it too twitchy for my liking. I end up enabling AP too soon for my liking and there goes all the fun away. I've tried adjusting the curve slopes in FSUIPC, but I can't yet find a setting I'm comfortable with.

That's funny, because it's a dump truck in real life.  I would never describe the ATR as twitchy, ever.

Maybe the tiller taxiing on the -500s.  The -300 tiller is pretty smooth.

You have more faith in Milviz than I do.

Ha ha - not really 😁

They develop great addons, but they’re not a great addon developer - if you get my drift.

I think they’re a prime example of what happens when a dev has no “core” addons upon which to depend, they develop a fairly random selection of addons, and they follow an employment strategy of working mainly as a publisher rather than a team focused on dev.

Further, they had/have commitments to mil/gov/com addons that are important, but don’t get extended to the public.

so, yeah, I love their work, as inconsistent as it may be. 😁🤙

I bought the EMB as soon as it was released in 2020. It was early on in 2020 with the sim having lots of issues. Fun plane.

Did it evolve to be a stable addon? Do you recommend getting it? I see it's 50% off on inibuilds btw

Yes, we need one. I flew one for a year about 30 years ago and still have fond memories about it. In Manitoba we even did what might be considered off-strip work with it into some fishing lodges whose idea of a suitable landing area was rather interesting.  Once went into a snow and ice covered 2900' usable runway in a remote community at max landing weight of 43000#. If I remember correctly ref over the fence at 43k was only 95 knots - what a wing.

Sorry, I’ve never flown it in MSFS. Maybe, Sonosusto can comment about the updated iniBuilds version.
I also read it’s an enjoyable SIM airplane, with some mixed reviews. At 50% off, it might be worth it.

I am fond of it, having flown it much in earlier SIMS.

I don’t own it, but from what I’ve read elsewhere it’s a decent aircraft with the key weakness being sounds.  Apparently FTSim does a sound pack for it, but I’m not sure about compatibility with MSFS24 (all posts I could find are pre 2024).  I’d be curious to hear from anyone with that combo running in 2024.
