I can only speak for iFly, but I can say that most of the beta team flies 737s in reality.  I've had in-the-weeds systems discussions on their beta discord that rival the depth of discussions I've had

Now also with the usual rhetorical symphony err...rather a fanfare this time 😜:

'Captains,

We have just released the PMDG 737-900 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024!

The longest of the NG series airplanes, we have included both the 737-900 and the 737-900ER for your flying pleasure. Fans of the airplane will note that the 900 requires a bit more finess to fly well than her smaller 800 sibling, as the added fuselage length adds interesting geometry to the runway/tail interface. This results in higher rotation and touchdown speeds in order to keep the deck angle where it needs to be, and this subtly changes the site picture out the front window during the business portions of your flying.

Packed with all of the goodies you have come to expect, the 737-900 will allow you to fill out your fleet and expand your horizons.

For our Marketplace customers, we have tagged the airplane as being available for release in the Marketplace portal, along with her suite of liveries. We anticipate, based upon our existing experience with Microsoft that you should have her available to you next week sometime. We will keep you informed with what we hear- but please note that we normally hear from them after the fact- so we might not hear anything before you do!

We hope you all have a fun weekend of 900ER flying!

Hmmm … will have to get the 900 ER … just enough range with some safety to make it PDX to PHOG.

Odd, no discount in the check-out even when I’m logged in … oh well, only $49.

This is one I’m on the fence about.  -800 yes, -700 yes (because WestJet), -600 no, -900 maybe.

I appreciate Robert Randazzo’s thoughtful remarks about the Marketplace customers.

$50.00 is a bit steep for previous owners.

Only $20 with the discount if you own the MSFS 900. Best deal I can recall in PMDG history.

There is a 60% discount for MSFS owners of the 737-900, definitely a pleasant surprise.

I signed in with my account, and it only shows 49.99 at checkout. I own the 737-900 for 2020, but no discount.

Did you hit next for the payment page? In the cart it shows at full price, but then it changes to $20 on the payment screen.

20 Bucks?

Coffee is still quite expensive in PMDG's world.

Maybe they should look at TFDI were a coffee is 5 Bucks...

The ER of the 900 brings it almost up to the range as it's smaller siblings.

Was TFDi ever up to the standards of PMDG in general…?

IIRC, there’s been much wailing and gnashing of teeth in re TFDi quality until very recently.

So, arguably, the TFDi $5 upgrade is more indicative of how much work the addon has needed all along.

Everyone’s got a perspective on upgrade pricing, but when it really comes down to it, PMDG seem to be doing fine.
