May 15May 15 The fsr500 already had this simulated in msfs2020. The aircraft reads notams from simbrief for the area it will be flying from and to and if the notams specify birds for the area the chances of having a bird strike increase by a lot. If it happens it’s a loud bang with the windscreen becoming destroyed with no visibility. The aircraft also depressurises.
May 15May 15 I’ve just realised, it’s one video per day 😉 787 captain. Previously 24 years on 747-400.Technical advisor on PMDG 747 legacy versions QOTS 1 , FS9 and Aerowinx PS1.

May 15May 15 At this rate, we might as well know what they’re selling us at Christmas. I realise these are marketing tactics, but it would be nice to have a list of all the models this aircraft can simulate.

For those who don't much care for the cinematic vids, I think this one's still worth watching/hearing. And yes, I did put the 'phones on for full effect. The sounds should be even better in-sim with full surround (in my case, Dolby Atmos for headphones and "Home Theater" mode in sound settings) which MSFS does very nicely.Scott

May 16May 16 One thing I brought up on the official Discord was an observation I noticed in a few of the preview videos. In a couple of them, the aircraft appeared somewhat overly sensitive during takeoff and landing, particularly during the higher speed portions of the roll. I have seen similar behavior in other products such as the FlightFX HondaJet and the Aerosoft CRJ, both of which later received patches addressing those handling characteristics. It is not necessarily something that would stop me from purchasing the aircraft, but it is something that has stood out to me in other third party aircraft in the past. That said, I did feel like I was met with a bit more resistance to the feedback than I would normally expect from Raul. To be fair, I am sure there is a lot of pressure surrounding the release right now, especially as more preview content is being published and more feedback starts coming in. The response I received was that several real world pilots are involved with the project and would not allow the aircraft to release with that type of issue. When I attempted to compare it to the HondaJet situation, the discussion was more or less shut down fairly quickly. The conversation itself never became hostile and I do not think there was any ill intent involved. It was simply an observation that I made, and interestingly enough, another user had mentioned the exact same concern shortly before I did on their Discord. It could very well come down to the setup or sensitivity settings being used by AviationLads, so I will be interested to see how the aircraft behaves during the live stream this Sunday.Overall, Raul has a strong track record of producing excellent products and I am genuinely looking forward to this release. I think it is fair to support a developer while also being willing to discuss observations or concerns in a constructive way. Just my two cents from watching this most recent video - which by the way, the sounds are great! May 16May 16 FWIW, Getting one video a day like this says to me we’re looking at a launch next week or two.Raul said there’ll be a preview livestream by Twotonemurphy 24h before release, and since that's now scheduled for tomorrow, the release is probably happening on Monday if nothing goes wrong.

I had noticed exactly the same on that last video showcasing the sounds. I was watching the roll on the PFD just before rotation, I wouldn’t want to see that in real life at that speed, that’s for sure. It’s noting Unique to this add on though, sadly the whole ground environment in MSFS24 seems hostile. May 16May 16 It’s noting Unique to this add on though, sadly the whole ground environment in MSFS24 seems hostile.Unfortunate, but so true. Of the many criticisms that are often leveled against MSFS 2020 and 2024 here on Avsim, this remains my biggest concern - and it ain't even close.Scott
May 16May 16 I use a 6 DOF motion rig and VR, the take offs and landings can be so rough with heave my VR headset can slip out of place. Some of the issue seems to be how the sim handles cross winds with some exaggerated wheelbarrow effects.Just flight seem to have cracked it with their Hawk feeling and behaving well on take off. 787 captain. I generally create a custom saturation / curve for the joystick.
