Several hundreds of millions around the world. It’s the world’s most popular sport. Looks like you’ll be streaming Netflix for the next five weeks.

Well, it didn't work at all: US 1-4 Belgium. The best reply from an UEFA team 😎

I don't know what Jude Bellingham was grumbling about in his interview. Thomas Tuchel was absolutely right to be critical of that performance. It was far too "slow and safe", and we nearly paid the price for it. They were lucky last night. They cannot afford that same luxury again.

thats twice weve agreed in 2 weeks Chris. They got lucky.

Ah, so the conditions in Atlanta on Wednesday could be almost as bad?

dont worry the water breaks will be there so the Yanks can put their TV adverts on. Its about money, everything is about money, nothing more and nothing less.

I didn’t see a single reference to Instagram in that 14 year-old post. What’s your point?

Don’t bother. It’s nothing to do with the WC.

There are at least a couple dozen of videos on YT like this one. After seeing what life is like in America, Euro fans do not want to leave and go home.

I get that same feeling every time I'm on Holiday... of course it seemed better, you didn't have to work or do any of the monotonous "life" stuff while you were on your jollies.

The UK isn't a terrible place to live - sure it has it's faults, but a lot of it can be rectified by pressing "OFF" on whatever myriad of devices you choose to carry around with you. There's very little positive comes from being connected 24/7 to the internet.

The USA isn't some paradise without any faults of it's own, that's for sure 🤣

That made my day, thanks for posting that. With all the stuff that’s going on in the U.S. that we can’t talk about here, it’s nice to hear visitors views on what they’ve experienced here. Most people here are decent and welcoming.

I'm not happy. I always root for France in everything because of my wife and in-laws. Second choice would be USA. Third Scotland and their colorful fans. Surprised me, I thought Scots were dour and restrained.

The anticipation in England ahead of tonight’s semi-final against Argentina is considerable. Much is being made of previous encounters such as the infamous Hand Of God in 1986 and Beckham’s red card in 1998.

It’s the first time Messi will have played against England which seems remarkable. There are several Argentina players who possess the dark arts as they’re known. They’ll target Bellingham certainly. I’m sure Tuchel will have given him strict instructions not to react. And he’s sensible enough to keep his emotions in check.

It’s an intriguing fixture. My prediction? England to win in 90 minutes.

As an Aussie who has had the pleasure of attending many EPL and Championship matches over the years, and someone who has ancestral roots in the UK (mainly around Yorkshire), we will be barracking hard for England from downunder.

Let's hope your prediction comes true.

Hmm... 🤔 I predict we'll be thrashed. Really hope you are right, young Raymond.

I won't be wearing my "girls blouse" tonight, of course, as it's before my scheduled beauty sleep.

The Opta supercomputer gives England a narrow 52.3% overall chance of advancing, compared to Argentina's 47.7%.

The showdown promises to be an attacking spectacle featuring some of the tournament's top talent. "
