July 16Jul 16 After all of the good managerial decisions that Thomas Tuchel made in this World Cup, I have absolutely no idea why he then decided that "doing a Southgate" after going 1-0 up was the best choice. Frankly, it was suicidal. How many times do England have to play like that and LOSE before they understand that trying to defend a 1-0 lead that way is NOT the answer? Honestly, I am so angry that we played like that after taking the lead. Even when we did get the ball in the second half, Pickford booted it up the pitch. We then (inevitably) lost possession, and back they came at us again.Congratulations to Argentina, but (in my opinion) we lost the game by beating ourselves. It will take me a long time to get over this one.
