  1. Is that Portuguese? Sorry couldn't resist
  2. Great game Elite Dangerous, one of the best space simulations out there, and runs smoothly in VR! As a good learning curve, i have it but i dont play so often i prefer blue sky's :)
  3. i would say its a version with super sampling by default, and you cant go higher because theres no GPU power in the market for now that can handle it... with a deluxe strap, not a big improvement IMHO
  4. Didnt know this, always learning :) thank you for sharing!
  5. P3D V4.2?? where is it? share with us :) Where you go again..."there have been a couple of updates to my Windows 10 operating system recently" i read it so many times that i lost count, flight simulators pc's vs windows updates is like Trump vs the fat guy from North korea, they don't get along, i have W10 updates disabled for more than 6 months now with zero problems. Quick solution try to do a restore point prior to those updates, if not you a lot to dig in, but i would start to disable all the addons and go from there!
  6. Permanently out of the box nope unfortunately, but you can use something like this http://www.casawave.fr/upload/fsx/Panel_Position.zip It saves all your windows and panels positions!
  7. Nice pics and descriptions! Had to read the one in the building pic to realyze that was the real thing :)
  8. Yes, no know exploit means that they dont have any informantion :P, doesnt mean theres no exploit already, even a zero-day exploit can already been there for some time!
  9. I was talking to a friend of mine that works in Microsoft some minutes ago and he told me that for now nothing is assured, apart from the intel flaw, for now theres no know exploit for this vulnerability, of course this can change in the next minute, doing the security update that "protects" your SO from this can(or not) have performance impact, from their tests, more than half of the computers dindt had differences in the performance behaviour, and they did get different results in some computers with the same CPU's, so also depends on what you are running. Had several persons that called me asking my opinion, and what i suggest for now(for personal computers) is not to update de last windows patches until we have more news, extra carefull on you visit or open on those!
  10. Are you connecting the two 6 pins on the GPU? How many watts as your PSU? If you also replaced the PSU ensure that is working properly, do you have another to test?
  11. This! But the guy wrote "Definitely not checking the thermal paste" so i rest my case :D
  12. At 4.3 with 1.25 of voltage i think you are getting high temps, that cpu can easily go to 4.7, but dont even try if you are getting that at 4.3. Check if everything is running well in your cooling system in the Corsair link app, change the profile to performance. Also check the temps in the room where the pc is, and most important if the thermal paste is well applied, you need to change it to check that!
  13. LOL this reminds me one sentence from a notorious member here at avsim that used the word MAX and all the debate around it, you got to love the flight simming comunity!!!
  14. 2500k 2º generation i think so its clean, only affects the last 3 generations!
  15. I agree with Braun, Xp11 native VR is the best experience you can have now in flight simming, although is still in beta and as bugs is the best you can have now, second P3d with flyinside, also as bugs but flyinside is a great software, last for me is Aerofly FS2, there are many users that have a good experience with it but was not my case, have to stay that when i try(before i asked a refund) i dint have my current GPU, it was a 980ti, and the performance was very poor to me.
  16. P3D i think only supports the Vive and the Rift http://www.prepar3d.com/SDKv3/LearningCenter/getting_started/virtual_reality/virtual_reality_overview.html
  17. No! And i found hard to believe that theres gonna be a tool that does that! The one that John shared could be the one more close to that. But did you read what Scott wrote? Take a look at SimStarter NG a very powerfull tool that you can use to launch only what you need...as endless options and once you master it is gonna be your best friend!
  18. Hello Hugo, Sounds a GPU problem indeed, did you try reinstalling the drivers using DDU for example? You can also try a different port/connection on both GPU and monitor, and also change the cable. As for the cooler, try to log your GPU temps to see what temp is reaching when you lose your image(you can use MSI afterburner for example), but i dont believe this is cooler related! Abraços ;)
  19. None! anti virus/malware programs that are always running and have live scans or similar functionalities are more a source of problems than benefits in any gaming/flight simulator computer, they decrease your pc performance, they put a lot of false positives in your program/tools, they can ruin a simulator installation...as for any firewall. If you know what you are doing you dont need any of it at all. Of course this my opinion for a gaming/flight simulator computer not for a general use computer, when you open and visit a lot of potential malware programs and sites. I dont have any protection on my gaming/flight simulator computers for years now with zero problems, the only 2 things i use are malwarebytes, that i run weekly just to ensure that everything is clean, and sandboxie when opening some program that im not sure of its source, a random look on the windows processes that are running using process explorer is also a good habit.
  20. In native support yes(didnt try this XP11 Beta yet, going to try tomorrow) non native no, flyinside does a wonderful job way better that the native AF2 support, IMHO
