Hello! First of all, I am sorry for the spam of the same topic yesterday. I DID NOT mean to do that. When ever I would click post topic, it would say it didnt go through....when it really did. So I have an NGX 737 by PMDG and I love it, but I HATE the stock texture of boeing on it. How do I add a different skin to it such as british, emirates, american, etc. Thats all i want to know. Thanks in advance! Mirakledba

Tutorial: Working with alpha channel in Photoshop Hello everyone. So, after I saw some people asking about how to work with alpha channel in Photoshop, I decided to make a simple tutorial for it. Tutorial was created in CS5, but this should work in any other version as well. We're going to use Photoshop ONLY. No DXTBmp! That program is only good for working with extended bitmaps, since Photoshop can't save that. But for DDS textures, you can use nVidia Photoshop DDS plugin and there's absolutely nothing Photoshop cannot do. So here we go. Step one: Assuming you already have some layer ready for alpha channel, we switch to CHANNELS tab. In case you for some reason don't have that tab in there, you can activate it in "Windows" drop-down list. We named our layer we want in alpha channel "Alpha layer" Step two: Now switch to the alpha channel itself or create it, if there's not one already. Step three: Go to Image -> Apply Image... Step four: Now the importnant part. Set everything just like you see it on screenshot below. Layer: There should be your layer you prepared before to be used in alpha channel. In our case, it's called "Alpha layer" Channel: RGB, because that's where the layer currently is. Blending: Normal, so you can actually see the alpha after. Do not press invert unless you actually need to invert your alpha for some reason. ALL DONE! Alpha is now there, no need to use any other witchcraft. Reverse process: Extracting alpha into RGB channel In case you want to edit your already existing alpha channel and want it in RGB channel, it's very easy. Just create a new layer and use "Apply Image..." menu again. But now you select your source channel as "Alpha 1". Layer now doesn't matter, since that channel has only one and Blending should be again set to Normal. I hope you learned something today and if you have any questions or ran into any issues, feel free to ask, I'll be more than happy to help you!

Hello to all, I hope this is the right place to post this kind of announcement. If not, I apologize and have a moderator move it to the appropriate section. Fsdreamteam is looking into expanding their team of scenery developers, textures artists and developers. If you want to work with a company with an history of 20+ years of professional flight sim development dating back to FS4, this is your chance. We are interested in the following positions: - A 3d modeler, proficient in 3DS Max and the FSX/P3D SDK with the ability to create realistic looking objects in the most efficient way. In addition to regular modeling, experience in character animation using the 3DS Max CAT tool, and human model skinning is highly appreciated. - A texture artist, like a Photoshop wizard, that can create believable materials and understands all the subtle interaction of diffuse/specular/reflective/bump texturing. - A C/C++ programmer, with additional knowledge of the Python language as a very welcome addition, or at least the willingness to learn (learning Python should be easy for a C++ developer...). Knowledge of topics such as FSM (Finite State Machines), Pathfinding and Avoidance, are also highly regarded. This is a seriously paid opportunity, nobody at FSDT is an hobbyist, all our partners that worked with us in the years, sustain themselves and their families with income coming from products they made for us. You'll also get to work with a most innovative team, which uses cutting edge proprietary development techniques to do what is usually considered not possible in FSX. If you are (seriously) interested, please contact me in private, so I can explain a bit more how we work. Having done commercial work with an established flight sim add-on company is of course highly valued.

Hello everybody, I don't know if this is the right place for sharing this, but i wanted to share with you a personal project that I've done using FSX:SE + PMDG 737 800 NGX WL.... I've taken some screenshots of FSX gameplay and then post-processed with Photoshop and After Effects to give them a magic sunset atmosphere, unfortunately this is not the real FSX graphic ^_^ . You can check the project here, on my personal Behance portfolio page: https://www.behance.net/gallery/26395487/Flight-Simulator-X-Endless-Horizons-01 Thankyou everybody Nik
