PMDG 737 NGX: The View Forward

In my experience of waiting for PMDG products you will know we are a couple of months away when Pete starts posting screen shots of the paints he is working on. But you never know maybe they will surprise us!

My optimistic side says you're right. There haven't been any screenshots in quite a while. In some ways a news blackout. Of course, we could both be wrong. Either way PMDG will not release this aircraft before it's ready no matter how much whining and crying we do.
So, in other words, the lack of new photos means release is close, unless it means progress has stalled and getting further away, or it means they are continuing nicely and just choosing to post no new pictures.... :(

It means nothing. Why should it mean anything?

I say we all pitch in $500 each (it would take roughly 100,000 of us) and bam! we got ourselves a brand new 737 from boeing! Then we can take all the pictures we want on the inside/outside. We can all take turns humping the landing gear and snorting the 'new airplane' fumes while a few of us who actually have the type rating can fly us around in it! I'm in, who else?-Z
Funnily enough, one day I had the chance to do exactly that - check out a brand new 738 and inspect it thoroughly in- and outside, just as you said, and take plenty of pics too of course. There is definately something to a brand new shiny aircraft. The cockpit feels - so different. Every average airline cockpit looks pretty much like the preview screens PMDG has shown us so this is really the better way of modelling that very plane for FS, obviously. But an unused plane of this size really has something magic, I can assure.sig.gif

It's releasing this weekend.

Hey all,Will it leave for this summer or Christmas ?Is beta test finished ? How long will that still take ?William :(

In local news, a moment of silence was held for the "The View Forward with the PMDG 737NGX" thread when it derailed at high speed, coasting for several miles before exploding in a fiery ball of steel and shattered hopes, tragically killing most members immediately. The PMDG & AVSIM Staff on the scene had this to say:"We don't know how the heck they managed to keep that thing going for so long. When we got on scene, the thread was such a twisted mess that we had to mercy kill the survivors." (I'm just poking fun of course. :( Just thought it would be funny to write, no offense meant.)

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

This is the craziest thread I ever seen. :( This one should go down in history

I remember that some time ago somebody from PMDG said that no special add-on HD repaints will be needed for NGX (like McPhat). So, I'm wondering what liveries is PMDG going to make for NGX. There is a lot of 737 operators worldwide. I'm sure that they'll include those big operators like Southwest, Continental, American, etc. That's for 100%. But what else? Cheers

Count me in too, who needs FS anyway :(

I hope there will be a Scandinavian repaint. Speaking about it I might have already mentioned it in here but a couple of posts ago people were discussing DVDs featuring the 737 NG and I got a very nice one not long ago and I think it's great! Might be because it features Scandinavian :( but I think anyone would enjoy it! Might also mention the DVD features both the MD-80 and the 737 NG but the latter gets the majority of time on the DVD.If you Google 'sas md80 & B737-600' you will find a Youtube clip to watch. And you'll also get to see a blonde and rather cute female FO perform a very nice landing :(

Hey guys i hope the NGX doesnt cost as much as this product, surely thats incorrect:PMDG 747-400 LCF Model Extension for 747-400X Price $50,000.00 PMDG 747-400 Large Cargo Freighter (LCF) Model Extension for use with the PMDG 747-400X- DOWNLOAD DELIVERY ONLY- INTERNET CONNECTION REQUIRED TO INSTALL- REQUIRES PMDG 747-400X- Be certain your computer meets the minimum specifications for this product!- Non Refundable- For FSX SP2 (Or later Installed) OnlyAlso didnt get any response to my question about whether NGX will have all offsets available for interfacing with FSUIPC (or would i still need PM Systems, Opencockpits SIOC etc) Any help would be much appreciated.

As Ryan has said that there will be an SDK for interfacing with the product, I don't think it will take very long for someone to develop a LUA for it.

Maybe they are waiting for the one million views on the thread, and the millionth viewer gets a free copy! :(

PMDG j41, 747-400x, 747-8i/f, NGX.......Finally!!!!

I believe PMDG has said they will tell us when the product enters BETA as they have for previous releases.
Indeed. The stuff we're seeing are just renders so they're probably still at pre-alpha. I wouldn't hold my breath for a summer (or even autumn) release.
