I honestly have to agree with everything that was posted above.
[2]Sadly another vapourware. To much promises, to much talk and nothing...We've paid for a buggy "project".

I have a good feeling that Aerosoft would release an advanced version of their A320 if sales exceed expectations and a concerted effort is made by the a really excited user to persuade the devs on their forums. PMDG would probably be too late as Aerosoft are looking at a Feb/March release. As for Airsimmer, by the time they release their advanced version (2011?) FS9 may already be irrelevant, and I think we all know the statement by PMDG regarding sales of FS9 payware falling off a cliff. Coupled with the complete fiasco regarding their basic edition (just look at the refund requests at their forums) they may go broke before it's released, given their bad rep amongst previous customers, who are very vocal.

I fully agree with Mr. Bellette's analysis for the Airsimmer situation. I purchased the basic version knowing full well that it is a watered down version, and I can work around some bugs , but the dreaded CTD's are just too much to digest. I think the least they could do is offer the upgrade to the advanced for $50 as goodwill for the frustrations caused by the basic model. I am hopeful they will make the effort to cure the CTDs and fix the remaining bugs, considering all the time and money they have invested so far. The profits they can realize from releasing a bug free basic and advanced model have to motivate them to see this project through. The aerosoft airbus is a nonissue because its really just a basic model, and at least their is the potential for Airsimmer to release the advanced Airbus we all have been waiting for.

I fully agree with the Airsimmer analyses which have been posted here.I've myself been closely following what Airsimmer does, but it more and more appears that they're not going to be able to deliver on the advanced Airbus. Given the fact that they are still developing on an FS9 basis, the advanced version for FSX is even more out of reach, and Airsimmer has made it pretty clear in their dev plans that FSX versions will be made at the very end of the whole project schedule only, i. e. after the advanced version for FS9. And even then, it'll be a port-over from the FS9 version. We need a true, native, from-scratch FSX Airbus A319/320.PMDG may have a partnership with Boeing and I don't know the implications of this. What I do know that PMDG is the only company out there that is a) capable of producing native, high quality, complex and highly realistic deep airliner simulation addons for FSX and :( has constantly proven to be able to deliver. If anyone can do an A319/320 in the quality and level of complexity we'd like to see, it's PMDG (maybe Level-D as well, but they haven't shipped a native from-scratch FSX addon yet).To make it short ... I strongly support the idea of PMDG making an A319/320. Whether you're a Boeing guy or not, the Airbus has a strong foothold in the airline industry and deserves a first-class representation in FSX.

With the 787 coming along this plane will put the 777 to shame when all is said and done it will be the main hauler for the majors here in US. Vincent
How will the 787 put the 777 to shame? What do you base that on? The 777 and especially the -300ER series is an extremely efficient aircraft that will be competitive with all other aircraft (current and future) for years to come.

The 787 has not been made to replace the 777it has been made to replace the 767/757Best regards

This thread has been viewed now over 2000 times.Means that many are interested by the subject, an A320 by Pmdg.Guy

As many flightsimmers know there is a lack of high quality study sims for airbus aircraft. The closest we have is the poor wilco a320 and a buggy Airsimmer Basic.I own the wilco and havent flowen it for ages. The graphics of it are poor in FSX and the Fly-By-Wire is not realistic.I have been following the Airsimmer Project with alot of intrest over the past 12 months but it seems to be falling apart, with only the buggy basic released and the Bug-O-Meter still stuck at 62%. The forums are childish with arguments over FS9 and FSX and to be honest i have given up hope of having a A320 study sim from them for FSX.PMDG announced a few years ago that they would make an A320 but that seems to have fallen through, my guess is because the Airsimmer showed so much promise.IF The Airsimmer falls through we will once again have no promise of a high quality airbus. This means that PMDG should create one like they said they were a few years ago. When the T7 is released we will know what Airsimmer is doing and then PMDG could make a decision on wheather to proceed with their Airbus. I know that ryan has stated that he would still like PMDG to create an Airbus.

Guys,Take the Airsimmer discussion elsewhere please, it's really not something that should be in this forum.

Besides- if you didn't actually SIGN an NDA... It's unenforceable...But that's another discussion for another day. :(
