he needs to get a life and a job. *shakes head*
Or a wife. Can't have both.

Hey, I check up on the 737NGX fairly often (shifty eyes......about three times a day) and it looks absolutely stunning.I dont know why I check up so often however, because, unfortunetly I do not have the super computer it takes to run FSX with complex addons smoothly (anything under 20 FPS isnt smooth) nor do I have the money to buy such a PC.I will most lightly end up buying the PMDG 737NGX on its release because I wont be able to help myself (it looks pretty awesome). No doubt I will be delighted with the visuals but annoyed and frustrated with getting something like 7FPS. I will probably just end up sticking to FS9 and the iFly 737ng which runs very smoothly under all situations.I would have loved the NGX to see life in FS2004 (I know it wont) Zach Macdonald

I anticipate giving you two updates in rapid succession here, so stand by for some fun during the next few days!
its nearly a month now since the last update, is there any reason why you wont give us a head up?knittlmichael

I think a lot has to do with ifly 737 announcing their intent to release their 737 for FSX. PMDG probably don't want to release specific details until just before release, which i can understand.

No time on the forums for them, means more time developing... :(

This is what ###### me off to be honest. Promises of RSR about an update in a few days. Probably "few" means something else in PMDG-Language.Just don't promise the update and there won't be a problem, but if you say that we get an update soon, then give us an update...Dion Mollert

"Soon" is not an SI defined unit of time. It is left to author and reader interpretation to decide what quantity of time "soon" will actually consume. Therefore, if Robert says "soon," it doesn't mean there will be a post in a few days. And also, "few," is defined as: "a small but undefinite number." In context of a year, which is 365 days — or 366 days in a leap year, I would consider 31 days (a month) to be a few days. But who honestly cares, nobody on this forum seems to grasp that PMDG hasn't made ANY promises on release dates, updates etc., nor is it their duty to do so. But hey-ho, people these days are just bloody — I won't finish that, I don't want banned :-)

And what, pray, is the news on the Woodpigeon? Now that was a promise and we've not had an update on that since the Spring. I'm so hacked off that I may buy beer instead. Take that as a lesson PMDG :(

He kinda did given an update after a "few" days. He added some full VC shots to this thread...In case you missed them...they were re-hosted on a different server - http://www.flyaoamedia.com/blog/737/737ngx-virtual-cockpit-screenshot/

Honestly, i can't imagine THAT is the issue keeping PMDG from relasing an update :( and i'm quite positive they stated that waaay before the last updates from PMDG...

ZachYou're preaching to the choir. You know it's bad when your checking this web site more than in-box for mail.

Hi all,I too check back regularly to this website (once or twice a day) in the hope that an update has come, usually im dissapointed. I understand PMDG does a fantastic job with their products and i do not expect them to release details everyday or a release date despite everyone asking. I think what annoys most people, me included, is that in both the updates PMDG has made in this forum they first said about a week for another update and we waited almost a month. Then on this update they said a few days, yet again we have waited a month. I am not inpatient and do not expect a release date (i get annoyed with everyone keep asking for release dates) or updates all the time with pictures etc, i appreciate that getting the 737NGX to a quality up to PMDG standards will be time consuming, but when its done will be amazing! However i think, and probably a lot of people would agree, that PMDG should stop saying they will have another update in a 'few days' or a 'couple of weeks' as its obvious that for whatever reason they cannot do this. It only gets everyones hopes up and then when we dont get an update we get more annoyed again and then the stupid posts about switching to other 737's and all that happen.Finishing on a postivie though i cannot wait for the 737NGX ever since being let down with Wilco's 737 classic and the Fscopilot problems that come with it =( sad times! PMDG's products are always amazing, especially there 747-4/8 which i cannot get enough flying hours from! Bring on the 737 and 777 and keep up the good work guys =)Shane Reeves

No updates schould not mean a dissapointment. PMDG always does the best for the sim comunity. It´s support is simply the best i know by far. Other companies are certainly a big dissapointment not only for the absolute lack of updates since one year... but also for the silence. A non comunication attitude is the worst decision a development team can take.Best regards to all of you and specially for the team.Carlos G-R A. LESO.
