Ok.. we'll just let this speak for itself as far as clarity and comparisons go....
The top one's the default, right?!! :(......<<only joking, by the way!>>

Of course of course I know you win ! but I was referring to that to the view in the screenshots (pilot view) and not zoomed in. Although I understand Your attention to detail. Im not sure by looking at those screenshots that the detail has beaten the Airbus X. BUT and big but, we have yet to see your night lighting and exterior. JAMMUR

Count me in for that one!I fully agree, Aerosoft made an awesome model and VC, but their systems are.. crapThey uses the default FBW system which aint good at all and they do only simulate some systems.

absolutely fantastic that you are doing what you are doing ! it really makes flightsim worth simming with your planes.can you please provide the sdk for this one to 3rd parties like vrinsight for example so that their mcp combo panel will work plug-and-play without hassle. Thanks!

Ok a comparison...
Aerosoft panel's clarity is great but like Ryan stated is too much CGI, there is little in terms of materials and texture feel, it is very flat-looking in many places, there is no way I could confuse this panel with say some photograph of the real thing. The Airbus panel reminds me of what made me a big admirer of TRI's Fly! simulator with its crispy panels over a decade ago but such panels no longer represent state of the art. Today we ask for both - clarity and full 3D-texture feel.

I don't want to start a war on which aircraft is better, but I don't think it is fair to say the airbus systems are "crap".From the beginning they made clear it was a light version. You like it or not, but that doesn't make it crap.I agree with Vin that it is a little bit to clean and polished. But some people like it a lot.Eric

Absolutely not, but why would one want to compare these two? What I see from this comparison is a real-life looking high resolution detail versus some, as it's precisely been described, 'CGI' looking, flat flight deck with little feel to it. Just look at those switches and textures. I don't want to say it's bad either but I feel it's a bit like comparing apples and oranges (or lite vs. full-featured product, resp)... thus maybe not fair. Nothing against the 'bus though, it certainly looks alright but as far as I can tell it doens't even come close, neither system wise nor visually, at all. IMHO there is no reason to even try to compare the upcoming to anything that's been out so far. It's just a different league.sig.gifPS: Now that I'm writing anyways why not add some Q to Vin: I'm certainly impressed by the detail even that up-close. Yet I wonder how it is possible that the font is super crisp while the background texture, on the very same part, is significantly lower res (e. g. where the A/THR switch sits, or the screws or that white thing I suppose to be a light sensor)? Or is the font a different texture layered on top, so to speak? No offence meant, since we're probably at a ~20x zoom level here, just wondering why that is. Oh, and to state something positive OTOH, I love the dent in the TERR etc. buttons, and I love the glass reflection on the MCP readouts (can be seen by comparing the HUGS shots) and I love the fact the CRS knob has significant 3D detail in it (:(:(:() and I love ..... - too each his own guys.Aerosoft and PMDG are two different companies. One can enjoy the wonderful sceneries they put out, and fly PMDG planes to these airports. The best of both worlds.I support both of these companies and appreciate each strengths that make my world a little more pleasurable and realistic.Cheers

I'm late to this party, but I will say that the HUD looks great. One little detail in the cockpit side by sides above that I loved was the FD toggle gaurd switch next to the course know. Wouldn't want accidently kill the FD while turning the course to the right....
