December 11, 201015 yr Is PMDG still covering the cost of the colored QRH? I am just wondering. RSR: Oh- and just to be clear: We have not increased our own profit on the QRH based on whether you take the color or b/w. To put it another way, we are offering the color option at OUR COST... meaning you have to pay for the color upgrade Cheers, Scott Ball
December 11, 201015 yr Now that these manuals are falling into the hands of this wide-eyed, drooling mob, I have a question for the powers that be (that means YOU, Robert and Ryan). Is it too early to let us know which options described in the FCOMs, FCTM, QRH, etc will not be included in the actual simulation? I know you're still working on things, but it would be nice to know how the close the sim will be to the documentation provided. Ron Priever
December 11, 201015 yr Commercial Member The cost of color printing has never been "covered" - I will tell you there's no profit in it though, we're offering it at our cost. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
December 11, 201015 yr Hi,Well, the Chief Pilot Manuals have arrived. Although I quickly looked through all of the provided material, I can say without hesitation that PMDG has provided an outstanding set of manuals/documentation that have exceeded my expectations. I don't know how you convinced Boeing into allowing you to provide the material contained within this kit for a Microsoft Flight Simulation addon aircraft, that must of been some sell on PMDG's part. All I can say is, I'm impressed. December 12, 201015 yr +1 Also, as someone who owns them, I can tell you that even if the NGX doesn't release, which it will, but even if it didn't these would be one of the best, if not the best investment I've made regarding flight simulation. They bring joy reading them and the information is useful no matter what. If you're skeptical, please see my very in depth review of the manuals. I wrote it late last night. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/320780-in-depth-review-of-ngx-manuals/page__pid__1890391#entry1890391 When the NGX is released, it would be such a waste to fly it without the benefit of detailed manuals. Yet, if I had the NGX locked and loaded, it would be much harder to set it a side and read manuals. I would much rather have the manuals to read before it is released. I don't see where that concept is so far-fetched. These manuals are a prize for any flight sim enthuiast who loves the 737. I was recommending them, and I agree with you, the concept is not far fetched, just to clarify. I have and love the manuals! No problems, just clarifying. Ethan Rayhorn My Office: (Taken at FL410)
December 12, 201015 yr DELETED FOR PROMOTING PIRACY OF BOEING COMPANY PROPERTY - DO IT AGAIN AND YOU'RE OUT OF HERE.Who said anything about using Boeing proprietary material and promoting piracy - don't assume and jump to conclusions! There are many organisations (including arilines) who produce their own manuals for Boeing aircraft and other aircraft type. I guess I need to find a new forum, as healthy debate and any disagreement with the status quo results in your post being removed.Cheers all, although its been brief.Briz Rauol

December 13, 201015 yr To PMDG staff:Dear,I'm sure the manuals provide real added value to the product, that is why I would like to purchase them. However, I find the price for it too high. I'm not saying the price is not correct but I don't want to pay for the colour printing, binders and transport costs to Belgium. So I think an electronic version of this product would make the manuals accessable to a lot of people without decreasing the net margin for PMDG.Question (to PMDG staff!)Is there a possibility that PMDG will sell the manuals in electronic format in the future? That is if Boeing gives their fiat for electronic distribution...Best Regards,Bert Van BulckBelgium.
