December 14, 201015 yr Haha,I bought the exact 2 aircraft,I'm thinking of going back an getting the soundpack for The Viper.@ $5 How can I go wrong!!:( If not mistaken, the F-16 already comes with the soundpack so no need to purchase it separately! Alexander Alonso
December 14, 201015 yr I've done some quick hops on the F-16D and the A-10 and they are a lot of fun. Graphics are very good on both and the flight modeling seem top-notch. Highly recommended. Alexander Alonso

I purchased the A-10, but I have yet to try it out. Mike Keigley
December 14, 201015 yr Author Moderator I have to completely agree with you there, until today I had never considered purchasing anything from them, but for a five bone, I could not resist. I purchased the A-10, but I have yet to try it out.Same here on both counts, especially since I rarely fly military a/c in FSX. Like you I got the A-10 last night but still have yet to install it and give it a shot. I am interested to try out the landing lights since I still have yet to get an a/c like the Lotus with the new style lighting.I kind of when thru the same thing last year when CaptSim have their $15 sale. I have frankly never even considered buying any of their stuff due mostly to all the bad things I had read about it, but for the price during the sale I was pleasantly surprised that the products weren't as bad as I had kept reading. Not to say they are completely perfect, but there aren't many addon a/c that really are perfect and for the price I paid I am satisfied for what I got. December 14, 201015 yr I was watching this sale earlier and was waiting for the A-10 to come up. When I reached the site on Monday and saw all items were on sale for $5 I immediately loaded up. Unfortunately when I went to pay my order was refused due to order limits being exceeded. I didn't understand the error message and what was going on. I sent a message to David via Skype, indicating my email address as an alternate means of being reached. Within minutes I received a full explantion via email and the promise to be informed when the site was fully functional again. I received this notification, as promised, again within a very short time period. This time everything went smoothly with the purchase and in seconds was into the download link and on my way to flying pleasure! Not only all of the email response from David at Iris, but he also called me on Skype. It was a nice short chat to thank him. This is the best, most complete and speedy response to a problem that I have ever had. I beleive that it indicates a very high degree of service support and integrity and commend David and Iris for it! Bravo Zulu!Rick
December 14, 201015 yr I guess I need to check out the tutorial for the F14 Tomcat, because the throttle on my CH Flightstick Pro joystick didn't seem to control the thrust properly. I also need to work out how to "unswing" the wings for take off!! December 14, 201015 yr Least you have gotten your aircraft Chris, I'm still waiting for my Paypal order to be processed its been 26 hours now. Cheers, Andy.
December 14, 201015 yr I was only given the option to pay by credit card, so that's what I did. Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester
December 14, 201015 yr I don't do Credit cards Chris, if I haven't got the money its doesn't get bought, its credit cards and greed that got the world in the state it is in now, but that's for another thread.Paypal isn't an option on the store itself, its mentioned as a purchase option in the FAQ for people such as myself who don't use credit cards, the orders do have to be manually processed though, so the delay is kind of expected. Cheers, Andy.
December 14, 201015 yr To be honest, I prefer to pay for flightsim stuff with PayPal (I keep it topped up by selling a few things on eBay), so if I had realised that there was a PayPal option, I probably would have used it. My wife and I pay our bills in FULL, every month, never miss a payment. We have an exceptional score and wouldn't have it any other way. There are people that know how to handle credit cards without any issues. Please don't assume ALL people who use CC's just throw money around...Anyway, I bought two of Iris' planes. The Eagle and DA42. The Twinstar is ok minus the fact that the rudder linkage is all screwy on takeoff roll. I'm all over the runway with this thing. Not to mention it's nearly impossible to remain in coordinated flight. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
December 14, 201015 yr Credit default swaps ... not credit cards... close though, but it's where the bank bets against you not being able to pay the loan back. For homes it's collateralized debt obligations where the bank still bets against you and takes your house.
December 14, 201015 yr I used my Visa Electron (since i am stil underage for proper credit card, but here in Finland if you're atleast 15 years old you can get Electron with acceptance of your parents), everything went smoothly both times (first time when DA-40 was on sale on its own, then at all 5$ i bought DA-42). Best thing about Electron is, that it is immediate billing, so if you're CC doesn't have the amount required, it refuses to use it. Couple times i've sweared at it, but then couple days later realised that it was actually good, that i didn't spend those euros i had on a whim.I think it's up to you, if you fail to understand your financial situation, and still pay for something, with the excuse of paying later. Of course, if you (not YOU andy, but "you" in plural) know that you can't use you're credit card responsibly, then it might be best to not use it. I think there is little bit more to blame than credit cards for where the world is going.. Or has gone already.
