August 12, 201114 yr Hi, I have a question, I've got my system set up pretty well with a few fsx.cfg tweaks and get relatively respectable FPS from my system even with high settings. I currently run with FSX set to use unlimited FPS - I don't have any problems, but do get a little jumpiness from time to time. So my question is, what benefit could I see from using this FPS limiter? Thanks, James James W
August 12, 201114 yr Hello,I am coming from FPS limiter so i was very interested to try this new one. Nothing to say except that this new limiter seems to be better in terms of smothness. I cannot say at this time whether it allow more costant fps or not but especially during turns (either in flight or on the ground) it gives better results, less stutters and a more pleasure.Only a problem, for which I wish your help: tried to switch from a full screen to windowed screen mode and screen went black, no chance to return in FSX and it froze.Bye. August 12, 201114 yr Same problem here Riccardo. As far as I know there's no way around this, so I've gone back to the external java limiter. i7 2600k @ 5.1Ghz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600Mhz, EVGA GTX 580 @ 950MHz, OCZ Vertex II 240GB, ASUS Xonar DG, Thermaltake Toughpower XT 875W PSU, Antec KÜHLER 620 W/C, Corsair 600T SE White My FS9 Screens - http://fs9screens.blogspot.com/ Callum Richardson
August 12, 201114 yr I would not like to return back to FPS Limiter, another test flight tonight with the stunning PMDG 737NGX and this limiter seems to give an improvement about smothness. Capt. August 13, 201114 yr I tried this limiter before with my GTX 285 and always got the black screen when switching between window and full screen. But after I installed my new 560Ti, I now have no problems switching between window and full screen. Not once have I got the black screen.

Same enb.ini? x32 or x64 OS?Our cards share the same drivers so the reason for you not suffering from black screens must lay elsewhere. i7 2600k @ 5.1Ghz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600Mhz, EVGA GTX 580 @ 950MHz, OCZ Vertex II 240GB, ASUS Xonar DG, Thermaltake Toughpower XT 875W PSU, Antec KÜHLER 620 W/C, Corsair 600T SE White My FS9 Screens - http://fs9screens.blogspot.com/ Callum Richardson
August 13, 201114 yr Hi, Thank you ******* for this FPS limiter ! But I need some help : in FSX I set the FPS to Unlimited and antilag.cfg to 30 FPS. When I start a flight, I can't have more than 20 FPS in all situation (little aircraft, big city, big plane, payware etc ) I have everytime 20FPS ( or 19.8 ).When I disable antilag, and set FPS on FSX to 60, my FPS alternate btw 40 and 60 ... Please help me, I know that 20 FPS is smooth, but I prefere to have 30. You will be welcome. When you activate the DOS-box, you can -using F10-F11-F12- reset the frame rate again and make it visible.F11: lower fps; F12: higher fps; F10: fps display on/off;Tab a few times on F12 and look at the on screen results (Set with SHIFT +Z (twice) before you do)Look HERE Jan Vaane - KLM149 aka PH-JVA

Same enb.ini? x32 or x64 OS?Our cards share the same drivers so the reason for you not suffering from black screens must lay elsewhere. I'm using Xtreme-G's 275.65 tweaked drivers at 8XS AA and 8X AF set through nVidia Inspector on a 64-bit WIndows 7 PC. I've always used the Xtreme-G drivers with my old GTX 285 and suffered black screens, but they disappeared with the 560Ti. One thing is that I'm not using any enb bloom mod with my FSX as I really don't like the effect. Edit: I just tried the enb bloom mod according to Nick's setup on the Simforums and right away, I got the black screen with FSX. So for my setup anyway, using a bloom mod causes black screens with this limiter. Without a bloom mod, I don't get any issues.

I notice something strange. I start up a CPU monitoring during a FSX test.Configuration : PMDG NGX, REX 2 OD, Aerosoft Oslo ( no ground car, no trees, no autogen ).FPS don't exceed 20-25 FPS AND my CPU use is less than 50%.Question : Why FSX doesn't use more CPU to improve my FPS ? Best regards,Julien FERSING
August 15, 201114 yr When using antilag, is it normal to still see spikes into the 40's and 50's? I have it set to 30fps with 0 on the render ahead. Of course fsx is set to unlimited. I thought this program would cap it at 30 but when viewing frames via shift z, I am seeing constant fluctuations. Thanks Eric

Riccardo I get that problem too but you need to the following: hit your ALT tab and unclick in Views "full screen", this is when my screen goes black. I then hit ALT-Control Delete to bring up Task manager. At this point you should get back the FSX screen in windowed mode. I then close Task Manager. Returning too Full screen Hope I explained this OK, if not I will try again !
