Probably most of you are too young to know about this guy.. But I'll try anyway: Do you know who Bill Hicks was? Yeah, the comedian.Do you remember the "Are you in marketing? Kill yourselves" piece? This endless story about the release date feels like the same situation to me only changing the parts.. Where Mr Randazzo and his team play the part of Bill Hicks and keep saying "Stop putting a release date on everything I say!" and the release-date-cultist people keep interpreting their words to suit their ideas. I'm sure someone with talent as a comedian could make a funny story out of this. I have to admire your resistance. Jose M Garcia

Dear Ryan and Vin,it would be possible to see a 2D panel picture ... that would be more than just great.Hypnotized.gifRegards,Stefan Z.

Good evening Mr Randozzo, Vin and all PMDG,1st of all people should calm down about the NGX: we've all lived before this bird and we also will after the release date. Fly a bird using a desktop simulation is a HOBBY.So this being said, i want to say to all my fellow: Gentlemen in life nothing happened as expected and it may also be true in a cockpit. We can sometimes encounter some more or less difficulties executing what we want to. To be honnest i have all PMDG planes, and others from the factories that put out hardcore simmers birds, i spent around 4000 euros (including an imac, throttle, yoke, rudder, airports sceneries, ASE, REX, FSBuild, charts, All you can imagine to make this sim experience immersive as much as i can), and even with all the pleasure that i can get from my sim experience i have the feeling that something is missing in my PC: The NGX. But i keep quiet like some other simmers. My only wish is that you guys at PMDG put everything in one package and even if it costs 100euros i'll buy it the day it comes out. So guys my message is take your time and bring us a Brilliant, outstanding product .To cut small talk i have one wish and one question; i hope they will be answered:1st, i hope and i suggest that the repainter makes some African repaints of the bird like Air senegal for exemple 2nd, Can you tell us what needs to be done at this point ( no word about about how long it'll take) just concrete things. Thanks for your attentionKaman BALuxembourg

Hello Captains,A few more shots of the PMDG 737NG exterior.
External model is amazing, thank you for the update.Wow, would I like to get my hands on your material setup and work-flow pipeline. Looks like JasonB has put some serious hours into this beauty. Question for JasonB - Are you responsible for all of the external models for the NGX including Modeling/Texture Maps/Materials/Animation etc..? I'm awed by your talent.

I find it both amusing and annoying that we see so many complaints on this thread about people whining about a release date or asking nit-picky questions that do nothing for the simulator experience, and yet we can have 2 pages of meaningless discussion about a sarcastic remark someone made in jest (nachos, toilet flush handle being modeled, etc.). I understand sometimes it lightens the mood, but I'd rather not have to sift through these things to find posts about the NGX. The thread is almost 80 pages long, it's beginning to get littered.

Very nice screenshots! Amazing in fact!

This is why I like to use a technique called skimming. I kinda know after the first sentence if I'm interested in reading. It doesn't take long to get through all the fluff to find some good discussions. You are now guilty of littering in this thread as am I for responding to your post. See how easy it is to fill up a thread with meaningless banter.

Hello Captains,A few more shots of the PMDG 737NG exterior.
Wauw, very great detailed shots. Many thanks for posting them! There's only one think I dislike of the detail of this bird: the bottom of the wings. Please have a look at the following picture:http://img217.imageshack.us/f/pmdg737ngx331101edit.jpg/Everything looks great, sharp and detailed but the part in the red circle looks crap. It looks too "flight simmy", unreal. I do not want to run down this awesome project but I heard PMDG wants everything that perfect and precize so here I'm with my point. It would be great if the bottom of the wing can be (better) modified. :( But at all, great job PMDG.- Are there coming some new virtual cockpit shots aswell and also night shots?Kind regards,Steven

But PMDG is not Apple .... or does your sales of $ 26 billion Dollars in one year.Silly.gifStefan Z.
You seem to think total sales makes a good company, or somehow qualifies a company...I'll put it this way:Total sales doesn't make a good company.Shiny and minimalistic design doesn't make a good company.Popularity doesn't make a good company.A good solid product makes a good company, provided that product is also supported respectably. Just because Apple's trendy marketing gets their stuff sold doesn't make it the epitome of a good company. If it were, we'd be simming on a Mac-based system, would we not? They have a sound business model for sure, otherwise they wouldn't be a top contender, but just because PMDG doesn't rank near their sales in dollar value, it doesn't make them less of a company with equally respectable policies (specifically in regards to release dates).
