December 30, 201312 yr During my short time of flying, I rented three different C172s, Copiloted a C210 (Test flight after maintenance was conducted....flew it and conducted one touch-n-go), Copiloted a King Air (took if off and flew it to 12,000 ft, activated autopilot, then drank my coffee...not much in flying that one, except keep the wings level, as it seemed to fly it self..ha). December 30, 201312 yr In the Air Force I had the opportunity to fly in the F-15, F-16, KC-135, C-130 and a C-5. In the civilian world it's easier for me to say what I haven't flown on. Those would be:Any DC before the 8 A380B787 Luscombe Maule The Concorde (been on it, just not flown on it) Any Piper above the Meridian Any Cessna above the 340 "For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return." -Leonardo da Vinci (some experts question the attribution, but I'll go with it for now.)
December 30, 201312 yr Hmm.. I'm gonna miss a few, but lets see if I can figure some of these out. At age 5 I flew from YSSY to NZAA in a Qantas 747-200 Not long after that, an East West Fokker F28 from YBCG to YSSY During an airshow I managed to jump on an A24/S-70A Blackhawk for a 10 minute ride around. A few trips YSSY - YSCH (now YCFS) in Ansett 737-300's, Kendell Airlines Saab 340b's and Eastern Australia Airlines' DH8C's. Trips between Sydney and Melbourne (More than I can count) in anything from A320, A321, B737-300's, B737-400's, B767-200's B767-300's, B737-700's and B737-800's, E190's and twice on A330-200's of Jetstar. Way back in the 1980's or early 1990's I managed to find myself on an Ex-TAA Qantas liveried A300 on the way to Melbourne. Melbourne to Canberra trips on a mix of 737-700 737-800 and E190. Once flew YSSY - YSCB in the DH8C. YSSY to YBBN on a B737-400, B737-800, A320, and once on a B717-200 in the impulse "Cockatoo" livery in which I was even able to score a landing on the jumpseat in the cockpit. Also flew the 717 to Melbourne/Avalon a couple of times but only in cabin. Emirates 777-300ER from Melbourne to Auckland once. 25 hours on a Cessna C172 (mix of M model and S model) including some hours as PIC (solo) A few hours as right seat passenger in PA28 Piper Archer (Including into YSCB, YSRI, YWOL, YCNK) A couple of laps of Canberra once in a Bell 206 Jetranger. And a few more at Avalon Airshow. Boeing B787-8 YMML to YBCS on Jetstar recently. December 30, 201312 yr As PIC, 150, 172, Warrior, Comanche, Seminole, Duchess, AA-1. As a passenger, ridden in the usual assortment of GAs and Tubes. From a passenger perspective in a cramped airliner seat, the tubes generally look the same from the inside lol. Probably the most exotic ride for me was in a TU-154. Also got to ride passenger in a Kitfox which was a fun little bird. Cheers TJ "The knack of flying is learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." - Douglas Adams Tejon 'TJ' Stanley

February 8, 201412 yr Like the other Bill, above, I've been so long that to list the many aircraft I've flown on is near-impossible. I will say that my first airline flight, as a child, was on a Piedmont DC-3...50-odd years later I still remember that experience! Planes I've piloted since earning my PPL two years ago include: Socata TB-9, Cessna-172, Cessna-182, Piper Warrior, Piper Archer, Super Decathlon, Extra 300L, SIAI Marchetti SF-260 (3 flights with Air Combat USA), and a Blanik L-23 glider.
