I feel like we're continually given the carrot on the stick with every picture that comes out with weeks spanning the gaps in between. Now a video. We've seen NGX videos before. We've seen pictures. There's only one thing we want now.Stop teasing us and replace the carrot with something real.

You don't make a movie without the props, and from that simple logic I would assume that if there is a movie coming, then there is also presumably something worthy of being in that movie, otherwise making a movie would be a pointless exercise.Al

What did someone else here say over and over again to PMDG?Under-promise, over-deliver.We know they'll over-deliver considering how much time this plane has taken, but imo they shook the hype tree too much.**WHACK** ....what's that? They hit the hype tree again...another video fell out.

I think the videos are being worked on as Ryan said they are good? They are more than likely not holding release. Sounds like pmdg have got a ton of proofing of the documentation and stuff that takes time....the bird maybe in beta at the moment anyhow and we may get a video than the bird rolleyes.gif

Who wants a rushed, half baked product. I am willing to wait until it's finished.
Agreed, that's the life of a PMDG fan. I don't mind the wait. In fact I'll keep waiting until the devs are happy with the NGX, no matter how long it takes - a few months or even a year more. And even then I'll be among the first who buys the product. What I don't like is being kept in the dark. But I guess my eyes are used to the dark and I don't expect PMDG to flip the light switch anytime soon. So I'll be waiting in the dark, alone until the light comes. That IS the life of a PMDG fan.

Not sure I understand the rationale to post information on Facebook not available for those of us who do not belong to this social network but do patronise faithfully the PMDG official Internet site...Thanks for the tip anyway!

Bingo. Some very nice videos are coming though, it'll be worth it.
The average life expectancy of a U.S. inhabitant is approximately 78.3 years old. Swaziland's is about 31.9. Swaziland can wait. Oh wait, nevermind...Tom

I can only conclude that it must have something to do with the iFly release date... Seems like PMDG are now stalling until it releases first. First we weren't to go on short-term vacations, now we're expecting movies instead of the actual product release. Given my enthusiasm about the 737NGX, I've been exceptionally patient until now. This is despite thinking it was going to be out in November ("The manuals are being released; one of the last things we'll do before release"), then December ("We're really trying hard for a release this year"), then January (surely it'd be out after I got back from a 1 month trip), then April ("Beta was going to be Friday, now Monday, don't take any short term vacations"), but Ryan's post about movies was...disappointing. I'm not saying I don't want to see the movies, but, if the community reaction is anything to go by, it really seems that we have been fed one too many lines. Please do release it when it's ready. However, and I say this in the nicest way possible, I think everyone would appreciate a little openness/honesty.
Excellent summary of the situation and exactly what I've been thinking. I've the utmost respect for PMDG and their products but I'm another who is a little tired with being fed the repeated promising yet rather flippant and vague timing suggestions of updates and release. I don't mind the wait at all, and when it does release it'll be more than worth the wait....but please don't tease anymore. We get the hype, we're all excited, we're all patient but I feel the general feeling here is now one of frustration. We have been fed one too many lines now. I feel sorry for the people who spent hundreds of pounds on the manuals, nearly five months ago, expecting a release just after Christmas....Adam Turley

I really don't know why everyone is getting so worked up about matters. I really like the 737, and I'm looking forward to seeing it in PMDG form as much as anyone, likewise the CS 200 variant when they get that out of the door, and indeed iFly FSX one when that comes along. But the way some people are wailing and gnashing their teeth over the PMDG 737 release is utterly bemusing. It should be obvious from the amount of times they've said it, that it will be released when it is ready, and anyone who appreciates a decent developer and the efforts they go to will know that this is why it has not yet been released. Sure it appears that PMDG like to tease people a it, but if you don't want to be teased, just go and fly something else and await the release of it, because fretting about it won't get it on your hard drive any quicker. In the meantime, anyone would think there were no other decent FS aircraft out there for us to play with, and if that has to be a 737 because you like the 737 as much as me, then go and crank up the iFly one in FS9 whilst you wait, as that is very nice. Otherwise, try any of the other decent FSX aircraft from the likes of A2A, Dodosim or whoever. There are plenty of other worthy FS aircraft out there while you wait, including a lot of PMDG ones that are already for sale.Al
