I can wait patiently, but look how they've set us up! Just think for a second, and tell me another FS company that has done this!First, they start releasing pictures, getting us all hyped up. They tell us that this is THE fsx product and it will be the best thing since sliced bread. Then, 2 months later, they tell us it is entering the beta phase and not to plan any short term vacations. KaranNow, they're telling us they'll be releasing video! They only reason they'll be releasing video is because the product will not come out yet for another 2 months!So lets see, they've kept us at the edge of our seats for what, the past 3 months? I've not bought any other FS product because I've been waiting for this. I have been patient, but this video thing is too much.Why would they be releasing video? To appease everyone for another month, to have something to give us. They will keep on doing this until it is released. I think that that's unethical. Stick to one plan, PMDG. If you said that 'it will be ready when it is ready', fine, but you can't give out video and all that and not expect us to want some information about release, or some tidbit about what's going on. And no, 'it's close to the end' is not a tidbit. That has been going on since January.For me, releasing a video is the ultimate sign that this thing will not be released before end June.

my current problem is Ryan telling us repeatedly that as SOON as it goes into BETA we will be told straight a way..now for all we know, we could be in BETA and not know about it, its a massive contradictionjust my 2 cents

Good to see I'm not the only one getting sick of these 'games' PMDG are playing with us.Say what you want, PMDG have hyped this up as THE fsx aircraft. Us users HAVE NOT created the hype, PMDG has done that themselves. It's evident in every post a PMDG NGX admin makes.So now, after not planning short term vacations, after waiting 4 months, patiently, we're told that we're going to have videos? That's just wrong on so many levels.I have no doubt that this is going to be a great addon, it is PMDG after all, but how they have handled the hype is almost borderline unethical. They're playing with us now. Just when interest is starting to dwindle, boom, we get a few screenshots. Now, they're wasting time and energy making us videos instead of spending all energy finishing the product?This was supposed to come out mid 2010. It didn't. November 2010, nope, December 2010, nope. January-Feb 2011, not much updates there. March 2011-Beta testing starting soon, don't plan any short term vacations. I agree. And besides, how can this be THE FSX product? Their flagship, the 747 is always the Queen of the Skies and she deserves more attention, as she is quite aging in the sim right now (going strong in real life). But clearly, the 737 doesn't make sense as THE product you know? If they were to make a 777 or 787 now that would be THE product; Boeing has slated the 737 line to be phased out of production and replaced, and big airlines like Delta, United, American and other around the world liek Ryanair will be phasing out their 737's once the replacement coems about. I liek it when a developer works on more than one project at a time, using the tech from one onto the other. If they had started making the 777 1 year ago, they could use much of their learned tech from teh 737NGX on that as well as using the 777 tech to bring forth a 787. A2A Simualtions has it best, they use techniques from one for another; their Spitfire, meant for a testbed for tech going into teh P-51 Mustang has become my favorite plane in the sim (next to 747, Citation Mustang) and it isn't even meant to be their hands-down all time best product!The 737NGX is stilla great plane for us all to have, and I'm glad their making it, and hope it comes soon. Coupled with Captain Sim's skill on their old-school airliners, teh 737 Advanced's will complete my narrowbody fleet, and their 777 will do until the PMDG coems out, however at this rate, McPhat will get a 777 contract from Captain Sim, and we PMDG guys may be left out.

Actually, wasn't PMDG who named their 747 as Queen of the Skies. This nickname was given by Boeing to the real 747.

I never said it was, I'm just making the 747 seem all the more glamourous as their flagship.

That'd be me then. The MD-11 took this long too and was just as frustrating. However, as you point out, the MD-11 manuals DID come out before and much nearer to release.

I think we all need to calm down here, PMDG are working, we will find out when it goes into BETA testing, and okay, we may have been told that it was supposed to come out in 2010 but thats come and gone and there is no use complaining about it. They are working on it, finishing it up, preparing it and in all fairness, they're being fairly open about it. Every last one of us here knows about what the story is and it would be great if it came out today or tomorrow, but this is life an all of you are really starting to sound like kids, if it take another 6 weeks to get to beta and a further 6 weeks after that then thats only 12 weeks, its not years away.We complain about not getting screenshots and updates then we complain again when do get them saying that meerly teasing us. You cannot have your cake and eat it. We've all seen how great it will be so just wait, good things come to those who wait, ect... When you buy PMDG your getting top notch Flight Sim software, thats why it costs so much compared to others, thats what PMDG is and thats why we all want it. By all means if they release this product now, it wont be finished and up to the standard that we expect of PMDG, you might as well go out and buy the iFly or Ariane 737 now if that is what you want. They are fin simulations of the 737 but if you want the best, like that which PMDG offer you have to wait. And if you just can't wait, go learn something about the 737, ask questions about how it is operated in the real world, there are plenty of us real world pilots that would be happy to answer your questions if we can. Go to websites and read about it, test yourself on your knowledge of the 737 on websites such as www.smartcockpit.com. I find the tests there great to keep you on your feet. No one likes waiting but make the best of it...So lets have a little constuctive critisism here, and move away from the childish bickering and "GIMME GIMME" attitude that has seemed to have gripped this forum for the past 3 months...

Why did George stop answering our questions last week or whenever that was? That was great. But it stopped after less than 24 hours. We don't want them to release the thing if it's not done, but going off the grid like they have just makes us all wonder if something happened or if something is wrong with the NGX. Ryan even answered some questions about a few liveries that were going to be included and since then nothing. We haven't heard even a tiny little peep from RSR in weeks. Is he okay? Still alive? Alien abduction? He does live in Nevada after all :) Just a little all is well in Reno message would be great.Hiram Hunt
