PMDG 737 NGX Approach Checklist, please!

Tom posted in the Help with Avsim Forums the following on April 26th, "It is load problem associted with the number of people in the forums. We are working the issue. I just don't know when we will have a fix." Obviously it still is not fixed. I have been getting them today and other days as well. I saw today when I got them and after eventually getting in that there were around 380 users online for all the forums. When this gets released a lot of us will not be able to access the forums due to the shear numbers of people that I am sure will be on here. Shame Avsim cannot fix this issue as of yet.
Well, there is always Facebook. Ryan joked that even if AVSIM forums go down (and I'm sure they will), Facebook will survive PMDG NGX release day.

Perhaps PMDG could have an auxiliary support forum on their servers just in case. I recall they had to do that for the 747 release.

I think it's funny how the dev. team is not sharing too much information about the NGX with us. But as soon someone starts to question the team (not saying you're doing that 'WestAir'), the team responds: "Don't worry, we got it!" Big%20Grin.gif
I love it! Anytime someone asks a "I found something the team didn't simulate, GOTCHA!" question the team always seems to cooly respond with a "Nope, we included that too."It's perfect.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

We most likely wont have to worry about this for a month or so at least.Michael P

We have and the NGX does it realistically, different weights have different effects :-)Cheers,
Just curious, how did you manage this?

It was achieved by writing code on a computer so that the plane handles differently depending on the current circumstances. :(

Good timing for me, my new build will be completed tomorrow with a bit of money left over to buy this amazing kite :)

Full Specs: Gigabyte Z68 UD7 | Intel Core i7 2600K OC @ 4.2GHz | ASUS HD7970 DIRECTCU2 TOP | 8GB (4X2GB) Corsair Dominator DDR3-1600 | Corsair HX850W | Corsair H70 | NZXT Phantom White Case | 3 X 24" ACER V242HL Screens

I am predicting 80 bucks USD for the NGX.
Looking at the 747X and MD-11, it appears that the 747X was $80 before the MD11's release. Maybe this will happen again, between the MD-11 and the NGX.

Thanks,

GuysStop those assumptions what the 737NGX will cost. PMDG in the their past posts mentioned that when the beta is more or less done they would give us a price. So just wait and don't assume prices. To assume makes an &@($* out of u and me.Thx Ian

Well, there is always Facebook. Ryan joked that even if AVSIM forums go down (and I'm sure they will), Facebook will survive PMDG NGX release day.
Facebook's servers HAVE TO survive. If they crash because of, let's assume, 2.000, maybe 3.000 users logging in at the same time, FB can get their servers and throw them in the trash. AVSim's servers can't hold too much traffic because the number of users is very low compared to other networks out there. If you ask the entire world population how many of them know that AVSim even exists, less than 0,00001% would say "yes". Now, ask about Facebook or Twitter. At least 50% will say "yes". It's too many people. They have to hold the "small" traffic that "only" 3.000 users demand. PS.: I didn't took those numbers from any kind of survey. I made up those numbers.

Actually interesting... how many people are reading this forum? How many are active in writing and posting? What is the estimated sale record for the NGX? In an other thread we were discussing the kind of people who like flight simming, never how many.

I think we are passing through a minor cone of silence for couple of days now maybe because of NDB that is not on the charts because it’s too old, I think it might be the good news finally.:( Alaa raid
