June 22, 201114 yr No diversion? He got pretty agitated as soon as an avsim staff member started comparing "apples and oranges" like I did (and still do), please re-read post 34 on page 2. He even went on to say that Avsim staff should remain neutral and not state their opinions, which was the other thing I commented on, Avsim as an independant source of information. Then he managed to claim that it was aimed at two out of the hundreds of readers of this post he must have known were going to read it?At least a few people in this thread feel that comparisons like that are fair, including CoolP, Chock and I. I'm sure it looks different from a developer's point of view, but for me as an end-user I look for immersion first and foremost. I won't ask you what you meant about the "shame" bit, as that most certainly has nothing to do with the argument itself and is nothing but a primitive domination technique. I think that's one of the comments that made them say you were out of line, not you stating your views. They will have to moderate you more strictly than independant forumites though, even though you might not understand why that is the case.It appears you still don't understand the basis for my response to your obvious baiting of a fellow dev and apparently certain staff permit such so I'll leave you all to sort through the various postings....There is no balanced or fair reasoning in any argument you present, only your bias. Baiting others may be your forte but a number of devs do not and will not buy the BS. We've seen this movie before.:(
June 22, 201114 yr You have seen this movie before because you always force yourself to the front of the theatre to get involved and talk all the way through the film ruining it for everyone else, why cant you just keep a lid on it for once. Cheers, Andy.

If you're unable to sort through the posts and come up with a genuine answer then that should be on your own laziness, not mine. You forfeit by doing that. Of course I'm biased, as are you. Your number of posts without being kicked from the forums would suggest that you'd be able to take the high road and don't patronize other forum members.
June 22, 201114 yr Meanwhile..back to the topic.. Yup, whatever was up with me being able to buy it managed to unjam itself with no intervention from me, however, since that occurred at 7.35am this morning just before I was off to work to train a Photoshop course, I'll have to wait until this evening to actually try the thing out, but, looking forward to doing so. In the meantime I've left instructions with Badger, my co-pilot dog, that he is to preflight it thoroughly and fill the tanks ready for later today.AlThis better be the best FSX simulation ever because if not I think IMHO they're "taking the proverbial" with a price like that. I look forward to the review! Chillblast Core i5 14600KF Liquid Cooled RTX 4070 SUPER 32GB RAM. Internet: 1 Gig Fibre. HoneyComb Throttle & Flight System. June 22, 201114 yr You're expecting the best simulation ever for $50? Seriously? Cpt. C. Oveur Microsoft Flight Simulator ATP license holder (DEC, all airlines, all types). 10 Gazillion "hardcore" PIC hours. ( x8 speed). Autolanding certified for every single airport in the world. I look forward to the review!Or you could just try it and see for yourself. If you dont think its worth the money then ask F1 for a refund...no questions asked! As I stated earlier, a top notch ananlog pit C182 would have been worth ~$40 to me. Add in the most complete G1000 simulation you will find in FSX for an extra tenner and I think its a great deal. Each to their own of course..... June 22, 201114 yr And here's the occasional user chiming in *g*:I bought the T182T, DESPITE its heavy price tag (and yes, the price, in my opinion, is VERY high for a GA plane - and as a user your first assessment will not be "wow, good G1000", but "wow, extremely expensive for a small plane", that's just psychology). The plane itself is extremely nice for a couple of reasons. First of all, it FEELS right. This isn't a technical thing, but pure feeling. Second, the G1000 is something that keeps you entertained during the longer phases of level flight. Third, it's compatible to standard hardware (Saitek switch panel and so on) - I didn't expect that. Fourth, the quality and at the same time the simplicity of the plane makes me return to it. So, despite of its price tag, this one is a keeper for me. I was prepared to test it and request a refund, but I won't.And still I think it's too expensive and it will keep a lot of people from using it. Sell it for 39.90 and you will - in my opinion - generate enough additional sales to make up for the lower price.

Do you actually own the F1 CT182T product? :(
June 22, 201114 yr As an offline 182T pilot who's been waiting a long time for this I can honestly say this representation is spot on. True to it's real life counterpart this airplane is a pleasure to fly and the G1000 depth and quality is impressive. As for the price, you get what you pay for. I have no problems spending $50 for an add-on of this caliber. I only wish those $20-$40 half-baked planes sitting in my hangar had a refund policy./Dave

June 22, 201114 yr Got my first ten hours on the Hobbs now and I must say that this thing is one I've waited for (without knowing though).Darem, your words describe it just like it is, it feels right and makes you come back because of the overall experience, not because some background voice saying "you've bought it, now use it!". For me, this is another example of good things taking time (and money of course). One gotta like the combination of a small GA plane with a nice G1000 of course, otherwise he may ask himself what we're talking about. I'm usually more a fan of classic gauges, but this one seems just right and fills a niche for me.My girlfriend tells me that I may have many niches there, but in the line of my favourites like Lancair, Duke(s), C310, Katana and Dimona, this thing adds to the list for good reason.I did some of those hours in the (sadly) difficult dawn/dusk lighting of FSX and also in night conditions and she really shows some class there, still being able to take rougher/shorter fields than some of my other planes.
June 22, 201114 yr I own neither he mustang or 182 so my point may not be 100% valid. What is so new or what is so innovated with the 182 that makes it so epensive? Is the G1000 the same in the mustang as it is in the 182? If that is the case then they just took it out of the mustang and slapped it into the 182? Sounds like double dipping to me. As for the apples to oranges thing here, I dont think it necessarily applies. Thats like saying if an Airbus 330 is 90 million and the 737 is 80 million? Would that make sense? But yet your apples to oranges statement would apply. I would be just taking a guess here but I am pretty sure the PMDG NGX has a lot more man hours put into it than the 182. Heck I bet at least 3 times the man hours miniimum. So I guess PMDG will be selling the NGX for 150 bucks based on that or 200 bucks if it takes 4 times the man hours. Lets not even get started with how much you pay at Ariane.

June 22, 201114 yr There are sound reasons for the question to be answered...Yes, doubtlessly you are in the process of unearthing someone with an "agenda". We have certainly all seen that movie before.
