July 11, 201114 yr Then please, if you can, press the FS9 button for me. There's still plenty of life in the old dog! And FS9 has plenty of life too! With pleasure. I can't get that FSX dog to run on my computer at all. And I can't afford to upgrade/buy a new computer. Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
July 11, 201114 yr Author He did...... and a good move on his part. :(Cheers ED! Sometimes we FS9ners are treated as the weakest link. Nice to see us all sticking together! :( Keep rockin the vote! And get the word out! :(
July 11, 201114 yr Wow - currently 50/50 out of the respondents... FS9 is doing better than I thought...Regards,Scott
July 11, 201114 yr Moderator With pleasure. I can't get that FSX dog to run on my computer at all. And I can't afford to upgrade/buy a new computer. Thanks Gavin. I can run FSX but only VFR in non-built-up areas. I dread to think what performance would be like on approach to EGLL or KJFK in cloudy conditions with multiple Ai.Happy to stick with FS9 for the forseeable future. Ray (Cheshire, England). July 11, 201114 yr I hope all these fs9 votes also mean actual potential sales - I would think that ultimately determines whether it's worth their effort. Regards, Mark

July 11, 201114 yr FS9 remains my big iron sim even on my more modern system. FS9 can take everything I throw at it with nary a hiccup. That is the reason I still use it. Al Stiff
July 12, 201114 yr I put my vote in for FS9. :( FS9 remains my big iron sim even on my more modern system. FS9 can take everything I throw at it with nary a hiccup. That is the reason I still use it.I haven't switch to FSX because I put a lot of money into FS9 and I just feel that if I switch to FSX all the money I put into FS9 would be wasted. And with all the money I put into FS9, it runs great and can look just as good as FSX. Plus there is still a lot of FS9 payware titles I still don't have yet.

July 12, 201114 yr I am not sure how relevant this survey is. If the purpose of the exercise is to bang the drum for FS9, great lets bang away and prove the point that FS9 is not dead in the water. I don’t think any of us should treat this as a ‘ what is the most popular sim?’ poll. This post was duplicated on the FSX forum and has disappeared into the abyss, probably, because most users of FSX know that developers these days are more focussed on FSX and therefore feel that there is no point to prove.
