September 9, 201114 yr If you make a preset your happy with, then you can share it, by uploading the .SLP file found in the Profiles folder. Here is one I made, with a wintry blue hue.... Called 'Snow Blues' http://www.mediafire...jwrhbam3ev553in Would you also care to share ENB settings if you are using? i7 950 OC 4ghz - GTX 570 Superclocked - X58 Sabertooth - 1 TB HD - 12gb RAM - Saitek Flight yoke, throttle quadrants, rudder pedals.

I don't want to miss anyone's work of art.

September 9, 201114 yr 76white02.... I am using John Venema's setting ini with those images... if your not part of the orbx forum I can upload it an link to it here, if you wish?. Ian... not sure, good question though... they are very small files, so easy to share.
September 9, 201114 yr This utility is just amazing. I can feel it has definitely forever changed the way we see FSX. Congrats!! One more reason to buy some High Quality Mesh scenery now Alexis Mefano
September 9, 201114 yr Hey Guys Many thanks to all the ppl who have purchased Shade sofar and for sharing options/info & posting some fantastic screenshots Ive just asked for my Avsim profile to be updated to that of a 3rd party Dev then i will jump in and chat with you guys Till then Thanks again SteveAKA Gizmo PS i know the manual is a bit of a slog but bare with me and i'll try and get some compare/usage videos made, trust me it is much easier to see how it works than try and explain it! Great work :-) André
September 9, 201114 yr Moderator I still haven't gotten around to picking this up yet, but can anyone tell me if this fixes or masks the 12am to 4am sunrise problem in FSX during this time of year. It's so weird to flying into KORD at 1am and see the glow of the sunrise on the horizon. September 9, 201114 yr I just bought it myself, and it does look very good. The possibilities are endless, but I will need an instruction video or two to grasp it's potential. Curt Branch
September 9, 201114 yr In case anyone needs a hint or two re starting Shade inside a batch file:- here is part of my batch file:- ('PATHF' is the FSX root, and 'PATHC' is the user's '\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX' folder, where FSX keeps the fsx.cfg file. September 9, 201114 yr Steve, thank you for such a great app for FSX. It really gives it the punch it sorely needed! Mark, if you are using REX, can you post what sky color sets you are using? Those screens are amazing. September 9, 201114 yr Great screen shots guys!SOLD!Can't wait to try it out tomorrow. :( "Even Ozzy's wagging his tail again. Liam who?"
September 10, 201114 yr Oops, I have to apologize since Redline's post (which I've missed in the first read) actually explained a lot of things which I tried to 'explain' too, but way off. E.g. the cloud colours. That 'Mark's Final' preset is a nice tip indeed since it helps with the clouds and the too dark cockpits on the non-ENB setups in my eyes. Steve has informed me that he is going to add a little freeware app for cloud tinting, which will add even more control over what you see. This would be great since the dark terrain shadows are nice, but, currently, render the clouds to a too dark state for me at noon.
September 10, 201114 yr Love the effects, but I am struggling with the dark VC's. It seems to not matter which presets I select as they all have this issue, and of course I'm too thick to understand how to tweak them manually. - Aaron
September 10, 201114 yr Did you try the 'Mark's Final' preset? It has a mild dark tone for the shadows so it shouldn't harm the VC too much, at least at around noon. But can easily tweak the shadow tones. Just load a preset and look for the second colour line (yellow marked) in the GUI. That's the line showing you the profile's shadow colours. The one above it are the lighting colour tones. With the yellow marked field you can set your own. Do this for every phase of the day around 'Noon'. The screenshot currently shows 'Pre Dawn 1', so you would have to click an icon in the middle of that day to get to 'Noon'.In the screenshot you can see that the middle of the day shadows are lighter than the morning or evening ones, which is realistic. You can tune the shadow depth for each phase of course, but the main influence should happen right in the middle, so maybe start there. The active phase can be spotted by the actual name and the small red line under the corresponding symbol. The screenshot shows the first phase active, so the red line and the name are visible accordingly. When done, clone the edited day1 with the button clone day one and save the preset for a later use. If you close the GUI in that state, Shade will use your tweaked colours at the next FSX start. Since you've only changed the shadow tones, you weren't able to destroy any vital settings, so feel free to test the influence then. The shadow tones are the ones giving you a darker VC since they not only influence the terrain, but all the shadows in that sim world.
