+1I think it is more smoothness than anything. I for one don't go by the frame counter that much, if not at all, what I see in the cockpit and out the window is all that matters. I think what most users are noticing is a less spiking in the frame rate, which is giving this nice smooth feel to the NGX.
Yup. That's exactly what I'm seeing. No real increase in the framerate, but definitely no spiking.

Guys,Which files should be saved before the fix installation, If I want to keep my livery based failure settings?Just the mentioned aircraft.cfg? Thanks!

I didn't see any overwriting of the livery files, and that includes the specific options and service timers. I just did a copy of the aircraft.cfg (do that for every variant for which you have liveries installed - since I only use the 800WL, I only backed that up), and when the hotfix was installed, I copied over to the new aircraft.cfg the entries pertaining to the liveries ([fltsim.1, fltsim.2, etc). That is one of the methods recommended by PMDG. Everything works OK, and the livery specific options are as they should be. P.S. Do not overwrite the new aircraft.cfg with the old one. There have been changes made to that. Copy just the extra [fltsim.x] that aren't there.

Now CTD hard to re-boot; this fix is worse than anything before . .Never have had BSOD before now.

I don't think I've ever had software cause a bsod. It's always been hardware in my experience.

Input / quick reviewAfter long hesitation (because I didn’t have any issues with the currently installed HF2) I installed the HF4 as described @ Ryan's thread, all went OK, I did a flight KATL(heavy traffic)-KCHO starting by switching on the battery to switching it off (IFR flight, IRS, SIDS, constrains & limitations, VNAV, LNAV, ILS approach, STAR & Auto-land till 500’ then manually landing as always), it went just fine with considerable improvement at all aspects, such as FPS, taxiing, throttle response and adjustment, sounds, VC eye point I assume, wing view and wing flex, terrain display @ F/O MFD…. so many small things developed didn’t take note of them all, it’s definitely an improvement, thanks PMDG.

So far had two successful flights and no failures using the latest hotfix. Two in a row would've been an achievement, before, so it's looking promising. Fingers tightly crossed! :-)

Installed HF4 last night and kept experiencing a CTD even when loading up the default Cessna. When I performed an uninstall, and then reinstall followed by HF4, I was able to complete a flight successfully without any problems. I've been lucky in that I had a pretty reliable and bug free experience, but fair play PMDG for addressing these problems in such a timely fashion!

installed latest hotfix and 2 flights ended with 2 crashes. had not been so bad before. first flight got a CTD right when I loaded the NGX. Second flight was fine from YSCH to YBCS but during roll out at Cairns I got the second CTD. too bad. now my final glimpse of hope vanished.
I have no crashes or CTD's anymore. I completely removed FSX, then installed it again, and the first thing I did after installing was installing the NGX. After that I installed all the other add ons ( what a hell of a job)But no freezes and no crashes anymore. The only thing is that the scenery is sometimes flashing like there is a thunderstorm.I can live with that. Don't know what causes this. I liked the 737 NGX, now I love it! Eric

Ok. Do you have any idea what causes this flashes?First i thought it was the strobe light. But than I saw (in external view) the ground flashing and not the surrounding of the airplane Eric

I have no idea! I can live with that! No problem for me!As commented in other posts my problem is with the installer from PMDG. I cannot runn any installer from PMDG. The process start and stop some seconds without any changes!! I have a ticket there waiting for one tip or solution.I already confirm that it is not a antivirus issue following a tip from Ryan.
