I'm wondering why there's no option of integration Reality XP 530 as a backup GPS unit.

Concorde, thanks for your supersonic years...

Both wide-screen (16:10) and regular (4:3) 2d panels are included.
Thanks!!How is the aircraft performance relative to CJ1 V 1? Not talking about FPS etc, curious if it has the same engines and performance figures?

At my own risk, of course, and without holding ES accountable in any way for the results or any unintended consequences, I did my own edit to the panel.cfg to add the RealityXP 530 to my CJ1+...and it seems to work just fine. More testing required, however. Beware, though, that the XP's bezel color is not matched to the rest of the CJ1+ light grey panel (the GPS unit that comes with the plane is color matched, of course), and there's no way that I know of to eliminate the stock 3D knob on the lower right of the unit...but it actually works fine and doesn't look that objectionable. Otherwise, the RealityXP fits the panel with little or no tweaking.

We do not integrate RXP Products into Eaglesoft Products primarily because RXP hardly supports its own products and has to date never supported its own integrations into our products. That said, there is no prohibition for users to integrate those products into ours for their own personal use with the proviso that Eaglesoft offers zero support for such integrations.huh.png

You did find the one area that some may find difficult about the VC Polys and other GPS integration...huh.png

Actually, as much as I like my Reality XP GPS units, the CJ1+ doesn't really need them given its own Universal FMS. cool.png.

We wondered the same. The primary purpose is to introduce something that no other project has...the Universal FMS System. Those who delve into it and add Navigraph Updates will be quite pleased with the capabilties of this simulation.rolleyes.gif

wow, throwing more bombs? don't think it's that cool for a developer to overtly criticize another developer in a public forum. i've been quite satisfied with RXP products.

I have been too but Ron was only making an honest statement. When is the last time you've seen JL post over @ simforums? It's always been the users uncovering new ways to update the RXP database.

First, no bomb. Just actual personal experience.Second, we're glad you like RXP Products and whatever support you receive from them. Third, we have a policy based on actual experience.Fourth, this thread is not about RXP or your satisfaction with the same. It is about an Eaglesoft Product and we've stated that we do not prohibit user integration for their own personal use but do not expect us to support another vendors products or their integration. That is our right and our policy. For more on this you may read our explanation here: http://forum.avsim.n...__fromsearch__1 and the same in the RXP Forum.

lol, you're the one who brought up the fitness of RXP as a vendor. seems this kind of thing happens everytime with you guys. hilarious.
