Hello everyone,I am very interested in buying the PMDG 737 NGX but i am unsure about my specs here they are:Intel core2 duo E8400 3.00ghz4GB DDR2 RAMATI Radeon HD 4870Windows 7 x64 bit Ultimate(and i am thinking about upgrading 2gb more ram and an Intel core 2 quad Q9550 so reply to tell me what you think!)
I had that CPU with less RAM and did not have any issues running it. Ran very well considering. As long as your pc is in good order in terms of no junk installed etc I would say go for it. You won't regret the purchase.Regards

My CPU is weaker speed wise than yours, and I run it fine with around ~16 lowest even at addon airports like FlyTampa....

As long as PMDG keeps us updated you are professional so take your time and thanks for keeping us up to date.Told that, MS Flight will have the very same alpha source code of FS4.0 , that's for sure.

The mood here is very tense, so I'm going to bring up another issue I have found with the NGX for Robert, it's graphics are better than real life, I had a solo today and I could swear my pipers panel wasn't in 4096 x 4096. I couldn't find the FMC either, thats what you get for flying freeware (thanks Navy) and my attidude indicator kept freezing, literally. Is there an FSX.cfg for real life?-Matt ChaseIMG_0386.jpg

Ken-Bringing a project as sophisticated as the NGX to market is far more complex than most folks realize. We are looking at somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 changes that have been made to the base NGX package, with the addition of about 100 more to support the 600/700. As a matter of procedure each of these changes needs to be tested thoroughly. After more than a decade of doing this- we have developed a pretty good sense for when a product is stable and ready for market. When it came to V1 on Friday- my instinct, and the instinct of other members of the team was that it would benefit from additional time in testing. This type of decision is not unlike knowing when to pull the freshly baked bread from the oven... There isn't a science to it. It is an acquired skill. But I think this serves as a fantastic example of why we do not normally give you a calendar date expectation. There is a tremendous amount of expectation to hit that date, even though the dynamics of the product testing process may change significantly even one hour prior to midnight...So then I come here and move the date, and folks inevitably get upset, start second guessing our decisions, etc... So we won't be doing this again.
Speaking of complexity, Robert, does anyone on your team have any idea how many pages would be used in printing out all of the code for the NGX base package? Useless fact, sure - but would be interesting to know...

Does anyone else dread the day when the 600/700, er's and sp's 1/2 are released? The ngx forum will be so quiet after that, like the 744 or js41 are now...We'll all have to go back to the general forum to eat our popcorn while watching the "when do we get the 777?" topics appear & disappear...
