Hey man, For some reason that wasn't highlighted in my pm box!Vroute looks really good, I have used it a little, hopefully it gets constant updates.;And yes, I am the "friendly" rasta on all the flight sim forums around these parts! :DBeen with BAV since they switched over to IVAO, and IVAO since 2008 I believe

Just had some great flights with as2012, much more immersive than rex and ase. One problem though, fsx just crashed with the smartassembly error, any ideas?
I had this same error myself when I first got Ultimate Traffic II. It went away when they put out a new version. If you have Ultimate Traffic II then make sure you have the latest. If you do not have Ultimate Traffic II then its something else.

And for ASE+REX owners is it really an improvement ?
I can only speak for myself. the answer is yes. would never have expected (well, probably I hoped so) that the visuals are better, might be due to other textures or better weather depiction. but the sensation of flying through clouds is much better, I also like the rocking and turbulences when sinking during approach through a cloud layer. As I just did while I am approaching YBBN with ORBX and AS2012. I also like the highlevel 'flat' clouds much better, they look great. overall I do not regret that I used the upgrade option from ASE to AS2012.

Hi Ed,What you want to do it to create a temp folder. I put mine on my desktop, named it "Active Sky 2012". You can name it whatever you want to. There should be 6 files, 5 named "install" numbered 1 to 5, and "Install.exe"). Download all 6 files into that folder, then double-click on the .exe file and it should install everything for you. You'll have the new, official ActiveSky2012 icon on your desktop (or program files, whatever to told the installer to do), and you can then remove the temp folder, although you might want to keep it in case you need to reinstall AS2012.

OK. I have downloaded 4 files so far. The fifth one is exe I cannot download it. I am getting message- File Active Sky 2012_install-1 bin could not be located in C:UserDesktopActive Sky Insert correct disk or select another folder. What's up now? I was trying to throw everything in temporary folder as advised. Doesn't work. Thanks again.

Rich, the real selling point is the weather engine.

Ed,Sounds like you're missing that one file (ActiveSky2012_Install-1.bin). The link should be in the e-mail you received, or else log in to the Hi-Fi site and you should find it there (probably under "my purchases", or something like that).
