I can live with FSX's issues as long as there is a PMDG out there trying to minimize the pain.
Absolutely true! I couldn't agree more.

What are you all talking about, when you say "FSX's issues"? I don't see any issues with my FSX... I click the link, it asks me for permission (Run as Administrator), I click yes, I wait for the splash screen to load, then click on Choose, then click on the NGX (of course..), an airport, time, and then I choose Fly Now. When it finishes loading the initialization, I open my REX WASys and let that run, and boom, it works. No issues.

FSX, XP, P3D - they all are bad.Make a plane for IL-2 :D.*holds fingers crossed not to be banned*

FSX runs stable for me as well, but it certainly has many limitations such as weather depiction, ground friction, animation limits, no 64-bit support (causing OOM errors), lighting/shadow depiction, etc.

Shane,"no 64-bit support (causing OOM errors)".I have never had one (OMM) with any versions of MSFS in combination with all previous MS IBMPC and MS Windows versions. Are you sure it is caused by FSX?

Been flying FSX for a year now & planing on to continue doing that for at least 3-5 years......or more.Maybe it's more of an hardware problem, then FSX "issues", for those experiencing them :(

Absolutely positive. It happened once to me with the Concorde X (high res textures) on approach to New York with Aerosoft Manhattan X, FSDreamteam KJFK, REX HD clouds, Active Sky, and Ultimate Traffic 2. I have not had this problem since then, but that was simply just way too demanding of a situation to not expect an issue.

Gents-It has been awhile since I've had to say this:We are not interested in hosting discussions in this forum where one group of users attack other groups of users because they like/dislike one sim platform or another. All of us have opinions, and all of us enjoy sharing our viewpoints- but it should always be done respectfully and with facts. If you engage in Coke vs. Pepsi, Chevy vs. Ford, FSX vs. <insert platform here> you will have your posts removed- and might even wind up in the penalty box, the dog house or the locker of banned-forever users....(Go ahead- start a "Penalty box" vs "dog house" thread and we'll dispatch the black helicopters.... Really... Just try me!)
This is where the bad users go lolhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n86gOQhrGtA

PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM

You can find us at:  http://forum.pmdg.com

PMDG hires pros who make their living analyzing risk, markets, etc. If they think that FSX and XP10 are the future, then they're probably right. They can always develop for P3D 5 years from now if it takes off.I can live with FSX's issues as long as there is a PMDG out there trying to minimize the pain.
Agree with you!!Only hope they will solve the question before 5 years.PMDG products almost already works with Prepar3d, there is almost nothing to develop (ok a new installer and maybe some adjustments). It's only a law and license question. If someone manually "migrate" NGX or other planes to Prepar3d, he transorms himself in a "wanted outlaw" :(

Are you sure it is a problem with FSX and not caused by something else like e.g....Aerosoft Manhattan X, FSDreamteam KJFK, REX HD clouds, Active Sky, and Ultimate Traffic 2.or other PC setup problem(s}?

Yes, not sure what is so difficult to accept about the fact that FSX is a 32-bit application and therefore can only address a maximum of 4GB of memory. In my stated situation, the memory demand hit this limit and caused an out of memory error. This limitation is why PMDG recommends a 64-bit Windows for the NGX so FSX can at least utilize 4GB of memory, instead of the 3.5GB limit with 32-bit Windows versions.

Shane,"Yes, not sure what is so difficult to accept about the fact that FSX is a 32-bit application and therefore can only address a maximum of 4GB of memory. FSX being a 32 bit program runs just fine and is not causing your problem.

Anyone knows if the SDK will work with the saitek multipanel, i mean if the rotary knobs, hdg, alt, ias, vs, etc, can be configure with the 737 ngx mcpthanks

Alan, the SDK itself does not work with stuff, the SDK will allow the developers to write drivers for stuff to correctly access the NGX.
