March 8, 201214 yr Fooled around with Flight. It has some fun value but you know, I'm just not interested, especially in buying more stuff (that I already have).Give me back my AI, ground traffic, ATC, GPS, variety of planes, fantastic airports and scenery that I have already bought. After a couple of days of messing around with flight I went right back to my trusty FSX and I'm happy! I am not sure I will start up Flight again, have too much time and money invested into FSX that is setup just for me, don't have to earn anything, Heck I was over in PEI (that's Canada eh) an flying out of my Simaddons Charlottetown Apt heading to Halifax for a short hop, wonderful stuff.I'll wait until they come out with the mega pack (aka ther rest of the world, 50 planes, added flying simulation elements). That's just me but you folks have fun with the Flight. Bryan Wallis aka "fltsimguy" Maple Bay, British Columbia Near CAM3

How long before MS leave this project unfinished and move onto something else just like they did with FSX.Bryan.
March 8, 201214 yr first of all in my part of the world the internet download time is very very slow, unless you buy the faster speed and that cost a lot of money.is ok for bussiness tax deductable but not for tom dick or harry.took 12.5 hours to download looked at it flew a bit than told my grandson i got another game for him he is 12 years old he did not like it, said it was to childish oi oi oi and that was coming from a 12 year old .so deleted the thing and just carry on with my 2004 version and my FSX de luxe .thinking of spending my money on Xplane 10, that seems to be a real simulator game but so far nothing in general has come close overall to FSX .joseph
March 8, 201214 yr Flight will take time just like FSX it will grow on you, I'm sure. Funny thing isI have FS9, FSX, and flight on my laptop and love them all.I love flights flyby view I have a hoot with that. Wish FSX had that same look in flyby. Signature best place to put my name Bruce
March 8, 201214 yr I'm also heading back to FSX for the near future, I think I'll return to Flight when it matures a bit more. I dug the visuals and flight dynamics, very little stutters compared to FSX, which was never that bad on my system, but jumping in the Bronco X and flying around SF bay with trackir and ezdok still gets me in the zone. March 8, 201214 yr I'm enjoying both Flight and FSX for different things.Flight (despite the annoying missing TIR) has been fun to mess around in multiplayer when I have only 30mins available and no time to pull out my HOTAS/pedals/trimwheel, yet I can still start up Flight and putz around in the Stearman using the XB360 controller and then fly with a bunch of other human pilots taking off or landing etc.I still love FSX and prefer to fly that whenever I have enough time to do more real/serious flying but Flight seems to fill a nice simlite niche for me so far, but I won't buy any of the DLC until they support TIR since it is annoying trying to fly without it. --John near KPAE

I am annoyed at the missing Track IR support, and will not purchase any of the future dlc until it has it - I did however go ahead and purchase the Hawaii pack and the Maule.I am very much having fun with it so far - it is different, way different - but I view FSX and Flight as two different products that do two different things - and well, I guess they are both somewhat for me.I love my FSX and all the addons I have for it, and will continue to get many hours of entertainment out of it, as well as Flight. March 8, 201214 yr Ironic in a way, MS Flight is what caused me to buy and get into FSX. Flight feels console designed to me.
March 8, 201214 yr MS Flight seems to be a toxic subject matter of fact that whole section I avoid! Asus Maximus X Hero Z370/ Windows 10 MSI Gaming X 1080Ti (2100 mhz OC Watercooled) 8700k (4.7ghz OC Watercooled) 32GB DDR4 3000 Ram 500GB SAMSUNG 860 EVO SERIES SSD M.2
March 8, 201214 yr I actually just did a full os-up reinstall of my flight rig, and have only put X-plane 10 back on it. I have been really getting to appreciate the simulator.I fly mostly GA and the scenery in some parts of the country(the mountainous parts) is just amazing. The city scenery leaves alot to be desired, but I am working on that myself.
March 9, 201214 yr Well, I have both installed and fly both..Getting to know the RV6 in Flight is quite enjoyable and makes me identify with folks who built onein their basement and enjoy taking it for a flight, same location every time, but different weather anddifferent planes in the sky. No autopilot means paying attention all the time and crisp controls means finger tipcontrol.. Flying the RV at night is quite the challenge, especially in choppy weather, and I'm always happy tobe safely back on the ground. Lihue is my current home base. I've ordered the Hawaii sectional chart, and Kodiak,Alaska as well for good measure..My favorite Bonanza and RV7 in FSX on the other hand both have a Garmin GPS installed so I can program a flight planand switch on the autopilot and just enjoy the scenery at times, while keeping an eye on the charts and traffic. The neat thing, is that I can fly out of my local airport CYCD, and fly over familiar territory, all the while enjoying the brilliantOrbx scenery. And once in a blue moon, I'll go for a Multiplayer session in some remote corner of my world andenjoy discovering new airports and scenery. Most of my flying is PNW, RMN, and as of late Pacific Fjords as well. So, I guess I'm enjoying both and just hope that all the various vendors, MS included will continue to produce productsfor me to sample, buy, and enjoy! Bert
March 9, 201214 yr Author i hear you Bert but I just can't bring myself to spending any money to get Hawaiian Islands which I already have and a extra plane or whatever you get. Mu REX HD with real weather gives me some fantastic challenges. Bryan Wallis aka "fltsimguy" Maple Bay, British Columbia Near CAM3
March 9, 201214 yr MS Flight is a totally different product. Pretty much arcade for the kids and the frail but that's ok, some of them will gradutate to simmers like us. That will boost our community and, from what I can see. that's one of the most powerful things about fsx.
