Captain sim 737-200 Base pack has been released

Featured Replies

These calculations are wrong. All we did is just switched the -100 and -200 models in the base pack, following the numerous requests. The full set (100+200 whatever base pack model you got) is 39.97 anyways. So no one is being penalized.BTW, those who buy the STEPII release save 10 Euros on the 1.0 release.
I don't know I did pretty good in math in school! Step by Step1. The original 737-100 was 9.992. The 737-200 External model was also 9.99 but required purchase of the above 737-100 = 19.983. Base Pack 29.99 (19.99 with discount if 737-100 purchased)Scenario 1: Purchaser buys Base Pack only and Pays 29.99 for the 737-200 onlyScenario 2: Purchaser bought 737-100 (9.99) and Base pack discounted 19.99 total 29.98 and ends up with the 737-100 and 200.Scenario 3. Purchaser bought 737-200 (9.99) , the 737-100 required purchase (9.99) and Base Pack discounted 19.99 total 39.97 and also ends up with the the same 737-100 and 200.So you tell me how the person in Scenario 3 isn't penalized an extra 9.99 for buying an external model that is no longer needed?A fairer way to do this would have been to to put the discount on the 737-200 to offset the cost of the base, then everyone would end up paying the same. (29.98 for the 200 (9.99 for the 200 external + 19.99 discounted Base Pack) ) + 9.99 for the 100 which is in it's self a separate product.

Thanks

Tom

Zach, you spoke about some 72 Dollars on the overall price, which is wrong. As said, the overall one for 1.0 will be 40 Euros (~52.32 USD). The overall one for the folks who have bought the 'Experimental' now will be 30 Euros (39.24 USD) due to the discount CS gives them.Prices for the 1.0 final.Guys who wait for 1.0 and then buy: 40 Euros (~52.32 USD)Guys who've bought the 'Experimental': 30 Euros (39.24 USD)I wouldn't render the maths more complicated than they are. :(
GOT IT.
No, it's not.The STEP II release purchasers SAVE 10 Euros.
Let's word this differently. The Stage II users won't pay for the 1.0 release.Major Edit. I get what's happening now.

So you tell me how the person in Scenario 3 isn't penalized an extra 9.99 for buying an external model that is no longer needed?
The person in Scenario 3 isn't penalized because he bought two models (100+200) and he has the two models. And today there's no way to get the two models for less than 39.97.Your Scenario 2 isn't correct because this person bought just one model and today he sill got just one model (whatever the base pack provides, today it's the -200). So he just got one model exchanged for another. In order to get a second model he'll got to buy it.
No disrespect intended, but I get that I save 10 Euros on the final product. That's why I'm irritated. That I only get a 10 Euro credit towards the final purchase when I paid 30 Euros for the Stage II is why I'm agitated. This is likely to peeve a few others, too.
Now I'm totally lost.Let's put simple (because it is simple)We offer 2 options:1. Buy the 737-200 before 1.0 release for 29.99 E2. Buy the 737-200 after 1.0 release for 39.99 E

Notice the edit. And I'm just as lost with you saying we "save 10 Euros on the 1.0 release". Think about it. That would imply I (a stage II purchaser) pay 29.99 E for the 1.0 Release. So:
Let's word this differently. The Stage II users won't pay for the 1.0 release.
The Stage II users pay a one time fee of 29.99 E and get the 1.0 Release free of charge. The Captain Sim Facebook is the only clear explanation so far:
One more reason to get the 737 now: all who have purchased the Step II (Experimental) release before the 1.0 release will get the 1.0 with no additional payment i.e. they save 10 Euros (39.99 minus 29.99).

But the guy who only bought the 100 and Base pack do have both models, and effectively is the only ones getting the discount. 19.99 +9.99 original purchase. I don't see how you don't get that?

Thanks

Thanks, I'll try.As for the overpayment, please contact support, they'd tranfer the difference to another product.

I think you are misunderstanding what is being said here..... If the calculations are wrong than please provide a detailed explanation of the following:Ok, if someone ONLY bought the exterior 100 prior to march 6th, 2012 their receipt would look like this:Exterior 100...........................9.99200 base Pack....................29.99Exterior 100 discount...........(9.99)TOTAL................................29.99 Now let's see what happens when someone bought BOTH the exterior 100 and 200 prior to March 6th, 2012Exterior 100..........................9.99Exterior 200..........................9.99200 base pack....................29.99Exterior 100 Discount..........(9.99)TOTAL................................39.98Both of these people have the EXACT same thing (737 Base pack + 100 and 200), except one paid 9.99 more than the other, why?
ZachLW, on 13 March 2012 - 01:17 PM, said:The "Buy now and get 10E off" sign wasn't there when I purchased two days ago...
Yes. Now it's there. So?
That is a rather rude response....
