I am surprised to hear that they are doing the -LR first. I was expecting initial release to be the 200ER at least with this variant being what I thought was the most common (something like 400 -200ER's vs 50 -200LR's and 280 -300ER's) and most easily accessible version of the T7. I hope you guys do decide to model it and we wont have to wait long after initial release for it as I think I may hold out on purchase until the 200ER is there purely for the airlines that operate it.Rich

It's not just the access issue (we can get 200ERs pretty easily) - the 200LR, 300ER, and 777F all pretty much have the same engines (GE90-110B and -115B). The creation of the engine performance library and FDE is one of the most time consuming parts of our development process - if we did the 200 and 200ER first, we'd have to model no less than 6 engine types. We think most people will appreciate having the 200LR, 300ER and 777F available relatively soon vs. having to wait for us to model the the menagerie of other engines. The 200LR can do everything the ER can and more anyway...
Thats not the issue, we are just hoping the 200ER WILL get modelled [worried that it will be the same as the ER and BBJ package for the NGX].Yes the LR can do more, but only a handfull of airlines actually use the LR, compared to the 430+ 200ER in service. The RR engines on the 777 are fantastic, you have to model 3 for the 747V2 so we know you guys can do it! :(

As Ryan said the LR first makes the other variants easier after.

Hi guyshaven't posted here for a while. Just soooooo fedup with all the 'sillyness'.That aside, well done PMDG TEAM and thanks for a), bringing us (me) yet another outstaning addon, and :( not reacting to said 'sillyness';-)Kind regards to ALL!

Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)

Is there ever going to be a thread where a bunch of children are not gonna argue and try to say their opinion is the best!!! Is there ever going to be a thread where PMDG announces something and a bunch of I "wants" is not there. PMDG gives us a lot of quality aircraft and we should be thanking them INSTEAD OF A BUNCH OF COMPLAINING!!!!! Well, I just had to get that off my chest....PHEW!!!

"Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your Captain speaking, we expect to meet a cycle of turbulence in this thread, soon. For your information, this cycle is composed by:- smooth ride thanks to positive and dynamic enthusiasts,- but then bumps, increasing from light to dense and severe ones, composed by "towering whenisitoutus" and "cumulo-Iwantthisversionnottheoneyouarepreparingus",- in order to avoid this, and to allow you to have a safe and pleasant flight on this trip to Tripleseven, the crew may decide to lock this thread anytime. "Well, the advantage is that we shall not be surprised.

Well whatever certain people say we all know the T7 is still in development like Ryan said. The end result as 99.9% of us know will simply be staggering and again PMDG will raise the barand blow our minds away!(just my 2 pence!)

+1 for a freighter version. Assuming 747V2 will also have the F.
Great news, Capt Robert and am looking forward to the formal update next week...for what it might be worth, here's another vote for the freighter in addition to the initial 200LR. Thanks!

Great to hear about the T7 progress. For what it's worth, I personally would prefer a version besides the 200LR, as ultra-long hauls...

Sa-weet, and thanks, Ryan...am looking forwarrd to the "F"!

Is the outside model of the 777-200LR in any way different from the -200ER and -200? For example, bigger engines, different wings, ...?

What great news! The PMDG 777 just got very very expensive for me. Looks like I'll need to start thinking about the new build computer; which I've been dragging my feet about. I'm in FS9 and have quite a bit invested but I've been waiting for this announcement for quite some time.Cheers, Chris K.
