Hi everyone,I would like to see a PMDG style ACARS implementation for use with IVAO/VATSIM. In my opinion AOC would only be feasible to a certain degree (e.g. OOOI times) since applications differ quite a lot from airline to airline. But I think that ATC comm can be done since most of the ATC comm is very well standardized even non CPDLC functions like "Oceanic Clearance" for example. Just thinking aloud...CheersFreddy

PMDG 787!!Regards,Martijn D.

I'd say very few would probably buy it
It's a modern 4 engine modern airliner with a genuinely different cockpit from Boeing and Airbus but with systems that any glass cockpit simmer could relate to. I think anyone interested in heavies would take a look, why not? Plus I'd say Russian aviation in general is very poorly represented in the sim world., so perhaps it's going to take a leading developer to do a good simulation project to imtroduce simmers to Russian aviation? Anyway I've always thought it's a good looking plane too!

First, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and you make a good argument, but here are my comments:It seems like you're assuming everyone has an interest in heavies, or that people with an interest in those aircraft that happen to be heavies have an interest in all heavies. As an example, in general, I like a lot of the heavies: 744, 763, MD11, DC10, L1011 and so on, but I have no interest in the 'buses (A330/340 and A380). I have a passing interest in some of the old Russian (/ex-Soviet member states) aircraft, but not enough to drop $60-80 on an in-depth sim. Furthermore, I like realism, and I would consider labeling the panel in English as unrealistic (unless someone can point me to an English Tu/Il aircraft panel). I don't exactly want to go learning how to read Cyrillic/Russian just to fly the thing. I think the SamDim Tu-154 is awesome, but I rarely flew it because I had to fly it and read the tutorial every time, looking at the pictures to tell me what to click.I definitely agree that the Russian aircraft are horribly underrepresented in the sim community, and I don't like that, but at the same time, I just don't think you could bring in the revenue that you could with another more "common" aircraft. Even the MD11 apparently had poor sales in comparison to some of their other products, and that thing is a mainstay for cargo carriers. To be honest, I bought it specifically because of the cargo model to sim my FedEx flights (with a little KLM on the side, operating on a little nostalgia). Having an interest in the tri-holers helped, too.In the end, while it would be cool, I just don't see it happening. I'm not saying I wouldn't want it to happen. I'm just saying I doubt it, and providing reasons.

I'd love to see PMDG develop the CRJ series planes. What's more, even Ryan said once he'd like to see one, as well. So for what it's worth, part of team is interested in the CRJ!

Well... The comments that Robert made in Part4/4 of his conference are indicative of an Airbus. :(

I concur with many of the addons suggested. My list starting with the most desirable.1. 747 (PMDG)2. 777 (PMDG)3. KSEA (FlyTampa)4. CYVR (FSDreanteam)5. KPHX (Flightbeam)6. 757 (LVLD)7. 767 (LVLD or PMDG)8. KJFK optimized (FSDreamteam)9. Photoscenery that covers the world (evil laugh;)

Dunno why, but I just hate the 757. It's ugly and also is not used in Australia - apart from (I think) DHL in freight.
You do? I can't un see that! Haha.I absolutely LOVE the 757, shame that soon after I joined my company they phased them out, was a really sad day, but they did it well! Most of them that were stored at LHR moved to LGW to be sold on as freighters. The engineers would regularly give them a run up and a few times I got the chance to sit on the jumpseat with them when they took them out to run up the RB211s to prepare for sale, was such a thrill. The sound! I have to say it's one aircraft I'd get a genuine thrill from using those awesome thrust levers! o.O! Sad to see them slowly disappearing! We still have a 757 sim and it is so much fun!

Well, if I'm honest, now that we know a DC-6 is coming, I'd like to see someone like A2A or PMDG do a Curtiss-Wright C-46 Commando. That would be very cool.

Oh it gets even better! But then we'd need some Yellowknife scenery, and scenery for the Valley Run and everywhere else Buffalo fly to!
