August 15, 201213 yr Unless I misse something noone from FSL has anything to do with the NGX. Leftsris left PMDG long ago. Edit: Andrew beat me to it. All though I wonder if he remembers I was the very first purchaser of the SSTSIM upgrade! :P Randy Swofford
August 15, 201213 yr Commercial Member Edit: Andrew beat me to it. All though I wonder if he remembers I was the very first purchaser of the SSTSIM upgrade! I do remember Randy! Nice to see you're still with us in the FS community The launch of the SSTSIM Concorde for FS9 feels like a long time ago now. I even have to go back to the manuals to answer questions we receive on Concorde-X - these days my head is full of acronyms for our A320-X: ECU/EEC, HMUs, FMUs, EVMU, HCUs, EDPs, EIUs, ECBs, IDGs...all these things you'll become familiar with and learn about with our A320-X. The Concorde was easy compared to the complexity on this thing. Andrew Wilson

August 15, 201213 yr Eleven pm my time .... 12 pm lunchtime, your time (morning). I'm tired and you are obviously also tired. Check your spelling and correct it, if you want to have an intelligent conversation. And to give you a hint ... change "there" to "their" and "passed" to "past". "Silly me" ..... yes I think so. "intelligent conversation" Forgive me, my spelling is appalling and also my grammar, I'am dyslexia, It was not even know about when I was at school. "Educated" yes, had my own business for 22 years. I just cannot spell to save my life and to old to start now. So no "intelligent conversation" for me then.......Since this reply was not run though MS word I'am sure you will find plenty to have a laugh at again enjoy!. David Murden. August 15, 201213 yr Thanks Ian. Back on Topic imo FSLabs will be the one like I said, but Aerosoft Extended will be great for most people just my opinion ofc. But we are all entitled to one. August 15, 201213 yr I'll probably get the Aerosoft one, because it's gonna be released very soon, and because owners of the original Airbus X will get a discount. But as I expect the FSL Bus to be the best, I'm pretty sure that I'll get that one as well. I'm just afraid I spend too much money on FSX with so many great add-one are released or at least on their way. Cheers Flo Florian
August 15, 201213 yr Dumb question maybe but I'd like to know what is the difference between an airbus and say, 737?
August 15, 201213 yr Dumb question maybe but I'd like to know what is the difference between an airbus and say, 737? A lot. Completely different philosohies. Be easier to google it. Will be a completely different experience than a 737. I am looking forward to something different even though I hate Airbus and am Boeing through and through (I don't really hate them). August 15, 201213 yr Commercial Member Dumb question maybe but I'd like to know what is the difference between an airbus and say, 737? Well quickly said one of the main differences is that modern Airbus planes are fly by wire, control inputs are transmitted to control surfaces electrical way when in B737 its done through hydraulics I think, though B777 and B787 are fly by wire planes too so it's not only Airbus thing. Then unlike fly by wire planes of Boeing and of course all their traditional non fly by wire planes modern Airbus has flight envelope protection which basically prevents pilots from going beyond safe operation limits, basically stalling & overbanking & overspeeding the plane, when in Boeing pilot has full control and ability to go even beyond these limits. You can find more about these through Google of course... Personally I like Airbus philosophy more, pilot error is still the number one cause of accidents and I believe that Airbus philosophy can save lives in certain situations.
August 15, 201213 yr Hi, I guess FSL A320,certanly NOT the Black Box Prologue,I´ve bought this BlackBox and it´s horrible... Rgds Hamilton Müller
August 15, 201213 yr Hello All I'll certainly be buying the Extended Airbus X. I currently fly the original Airbus X and contrary to a lot of other purchasers, I've had zero problems and absolutely love flying it. I like the Aerosoft philosophy of not over-complicating things such as modelling multiple failure scenarios (that have never actually occurred in a flying Airbus) or telling me that an extra 100mA of DC current is being pulled because I enabled some arbitrary piece of circuitry. Instead they concentrate on producing a visually stunning model that is an accurate, but also an enjoyable simulation of the real aircraft. Regards Gary
August 15, 201213 yr It's all speculation until it is released. I'll be getting the Aerosoft version, then if/when the FSL comes to fruition I'll look at it then. - Aaron
August 15, 201213 yr I am quite undecided between Aerosoft and FSL until I see FSL VC images, on one hand, I am certain that FSLab will be far superior systemwise, but if the Concorde virtual cockpit graphic quality (or the lack of) is anything to go by, the Aerosoft will probably have a better looking sharper VC. That was the only disappointment I had with the FSLab Concorde, the PMDG NGX VC is extraordinarily sharp compared to it. I just hope they improve this aspect drastically for the A320, we are now getting spoiled and want visual quality as well as system complexity, the former being - presumably - easier to deliver...
