Loving the release.. Happy to see that the user has control of the feather again as opposed to the C90. One thing I would love to see is the option to not have the sounds muffled like you are wearing a pair of sound protection. Perhaps an option that can be selected alongside VC windows and gauge reflections?

Also noticed no sound change outside of the aircraft when the props are fully feathered as compared to full prop.

Anyways.. my 2 cents.. Thanks Guys!

And so it begins...the customer beta testing. She is a beaut and it is tempting to pull the trigger. Think I'll wait a while tough. Then too, there is the F1 version lurking around the corner. What to do?

The pics look great but after the very long haul to get the C90 to where I have it, think I will wait a while too.

It will go a long way to getting it right if they can finally get the engine and prop sounds right. Here's hoping.

Cheers !!!! :lol:

LOL, Yeppers!

I'm gonna wait for the Collins version by MilViz.

Your sounds are easy to fix though... about the easiest, least head twisting thing to fix. If that is all that is wrong with this ride, then it's a great improvement in the Carenado line.

As good as it looks, I am going to pass on this. I get increasingly frustrated with Carenado. Their modelling is second bar none, the texturing is generally very good. But the avionics and systems leave a lot to be desired. I am no longer interested in "flying textures", as someone here so aptly put it. I would like things to work correctly... there were too many issues I found...

The guys obn various fora do a GRAND job of tweaking and feature-adding, my hat off to you all. I am just too pushed for time these days to spend it tweaking xml files and whatnot, just for things to work that really should have worked from scratch...

I uninstalled it shortly after buying it, after the service pack release. It was nice enough, but I am spoiled by the depth of A2A, PMDG, Real Air, that I hardly ever start in anything else these days...

HawkDsl, would you please advise how the sound problem can be fixed. Many here would really appreciate that.

Thanks,

Textures look great but the one thing that caught my eye is that the main wheels don't retract completely into the nacelle and covered by gear doors. Instead the wheels are protruding out of the nacelle.

You can thank Beechcraft for that - :smile:

Yep, they really do stick out of the nacelle.

My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.

Thanks Trevor and Stans. I looked at the Beechcraft website and all the pics show complete retraction of the main wheels. Learn something new everyday :rolleyes:

Me too. I dumped the last plane I got from Carenado, and I suspect I'd do the same with this one, so I'll wait for an alternative.

The Carenado model has the high floatation landing gear, which do stick out of the nacelle. This is an option...and the standard gear retract completely and doors that close over them.

Raisbeck offers a gear door mod for the HF gear, covering them completely and reducing drag.

I dont have the plane bytes, so I can't help with specific sounds... but just look in your B200 folder/sound. Open sound.cfg and find the sounds you need to change and add volume lines to that sound. Example;

[FLAPS]

filename=B58_flaps

flags=0

viewpoint=1

initial_volume=50000

minimum_volume=30000

maximum_volume=70000

10000 is maximum volume.

I suspect the traffic sound is in a section called "Other Sounds". It may not be plainly labeled, so you may have to play each .WAV sound in the sound folder to find it.

This can also be applied to the engine sounds.

As always, make a backup copy of the sound.cfg before making changes.
