November 19, 201213 yr FlyTampa Athens Not to forget Vienna, also by FlyTampa. Innsbruck's another great scenery for Europe, but, well, that'd be in the large Aerosoft category anyways. From the Aerosoft airports, I must say that the latest releases (mainly Greek islands and Helsinki) are very high quality airports, as are the Balearics, Gibraltar and Munich. And there also are some really good sceneries for airports in the former Soviet Union, all freeware, over at avsim.su. Regards, Flo Florian
November 19, 201213 yr I won 14 of Gary's airports, and they are indeed amazing. I have had Sim Wings (published by Aerosoft) Mega Airport Heathrow since 2008, and Sim Wings is supposed to update it completely in 2013. I'm very tempted to just try Gary's version. The recent release of ORBX England makes Gary's airports even more enjoyable. November 19, 201213 yr I saw their work and it looks amazing, but sadly only Zurich at the moment... And Geneva.
November 19, 201213 yr I have a number of UK2000 airports and they are very good compared to the competition - decent frame rates, very detailed and pretty much fully DX10 compatible (which is a rarity). I have plenty of Aerosoft airports and sometimes I wonder why I bother as so many of them are very heavy on frames. Couple of things for you Richard - if you haven't already, get Gatwick as IMO it's better than Heathrow and not as heavy on frames. It's also worth getting his freeware versions of everything else in the UK as they're vastly superior to default.
November 19, 201213 yr Author I won 14 of Gary's airports Lucky sod.... (OK, I see its a typo and you "own" 14 of them right?) And Geneva. Opp's, my bad, so Geneva and Zurich may just become the new "go-to-place" soon then... Regards Aerosoft, Budapest is pretty nice, I tried that, and have been there quite a lot too.. Seems Dream Factory Studio are ok.. Richard... Amateur Pilot and UK Web Hosting Guru 🙂
November 19, 201213 yr ucky sod.... (OK, I see its a typo and you "own" 14 of them right?) :-) I "own" 14 UK2000 airports, and all the comments are tempting me to buy Hearthrow Xtreme and just delete my Aerosoft HeatrowX, which does not give me the best FPS. November 19, 201213 yr Author Seriously? I'm surprised that you own other UK2000 airports and actually need any "tempting".... What exactly were you waiting for? Aerosoft Heathrow is dreadful, it truly is dire, far worse than the "out-of-the-box" fsx Heathrow... Get the UK2000 one and be a happy camper... Richard... Amateur Pilot and UK Web Hosting Guru 🙂
November 19, 201213 yr I love UK2000 Heathrow for the simple fact that they keep publishing updated afcads. Anthony Cacciatore
November 19, 201213 yr Does anyone have London City and FTX ENG? How well do they work together? I have FTX ENG and I love it.I will be adding UK 2000 airports ASAP. I'm hoping for a sale to come soon. I think that there was one last year. Correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks. Jose MSFS
November 19, 201213 yr 30fps with Cessna 172 in all views, 21-24fps in NGX VC. Smooth departure. Good enough? ^_^ Thanks!!! MSFS
November 19, 201213 yr Gary's airports are fantastic, I own nearly all of them. How he keeps his pricing so low is amazing, and puts the bigger developers to shame with his quality/price ratio. You can call UK2000's airports excellent, or better than excellent. Indeed. On that I can agree. But, for sure, one thing that you cannot call them is NOT expensive. UK2000's prices are in pounds, not euros, not US dollars. Remember 1 pound = 1.25 euro = 1.25 US dollar (more or less). Or 1 pound = 1.5625 US dollars. Plus UK2000 never mention on their website whether displayed prices include VAT or not (and how much VAT).

November 19, 201213 yr Sure, I have 5 of Gary's airports and all are great. However, I uninstalled Heathrow, as using the NGX with GEX, UTX or Orbx and all the other nonsense, it was just a tad too heavy on performance for me. But no sweat, as I use Gatwick instead... Well Aerosofts airports I think are about 25 euros which is over £20 so that's about 20-30% more expensive than a UK2000 airport...
