I'm thoroughly excited about this release and the 747 that's coming afterwards. Thank you for developing your products the way you do, it makes flight simulation special.

So yeah- I too am looking forward to updating the 744 to our modern code base and visual capabilities- but I am going to really REALLY enjoy the 777 before then. It is an airplane that has to be flown to be believed!

Thanks Robert. I appreciate that info. Looking forward to all of em. The 777, the 747s

I can't imagine what it would be like to takeoff with the -115's when she is empty.

Hope the EFB will be portable to display on my iPad. That would mean pure awesomeness in user comfort!

Phil-

ooooh... I don't know about that, Phil. I had that one nearly break me pretty badly all those years ago. B)

Gents-

A few folks asked about further updates for the NGX:

I mentioned in a reply a bit further up the thread that the NGX SP2 will land shortly after the PMDG 777 releases. (Scroll up to page two someplace and you'll see more of what I said on the topic.)

On the NGX- another fellow asked about further expansion packs for the NGX: They are still planned, but don't have firm datelines. (One of them is nearly finished, but will need SP2... hence it waits.)

The expansion packs are a great way to keep the NGX envigorated, but as of today the primary development muscle is being used on the 777...

On the topic of trolls: Please don't hand-feed the trolls... If we all simply ignore him- he loses his bully pulpit.

If you see someone here obviously trolling, just flag the post to an Admin and it will get taken care of.

AJ-

I had planned to throw a few in for fun, but I found something I didn't like, and decided to hold off until it gets addressed...

(This happens sometimes... You get so "head down" on the development process that you miss something "otherwise obvious" and need to go back and correct it... So probably sometime right after the holidays? We'll see how fast Vin can work...)

Rob,

With regards the NGX SP2, do you think one of the new features in this SP will include cockpit sharing?

Cameron Lett :)

After reading all 5 pages of this forum, all I am hearing is "When you buy the MD-11 on Friday, the T7 will then be released".....hmm. I guess I will just have to get both! Can't wait to see the pictures and fly her.

First and foremost - thanks for putting us all out of our misery! Who would have thought a flying machine on a flight simulator would cause such emotions

Sounds like 2013 will be a brilliant year for all of us and yourselves. Extremely excited for the 777 update to follow!

Once again, thank you & Merry Christmas! ^_^

My father always says to me "Luke, if you don't ask, you don't get!".

I feel like instead it should be "Luke, I am your father."

(possibly naming my first son Luke for that reason...)

I know its no EFB... but the Airbus X Extended has an interesting feature listed on its product page...

  • Included web server that allows you to access (and use) the MCDU via any web browser; ideal for tablet computers.

I have not seen it in action, but this would be nice for the PMDG planes!

I tried it and it has a lot of delay since you push a key and it appears on the MCDU. I use XDISPLAY on my iPad and it works perfect, no delay.

I was about to reply the same exact thing. Nice effort by aerosoft, but a web page refresh on every keypress is not very userfriendly.

There must be better, direct input, solutions for this.
