Majestic Dash 8 Q400 - Release Thread

Featured Replies

Adam the aircraft (like the real q400) has a nose-low attitude when sitting on the ground, so you will not see a 0-degree pitch on the EADIs while the nosewheels are on the ground.

All right, fair enough  .. but my other comments still stand.

Hello,

Really nice plane, was waiting for it, I have it for XPlane but this here is completely different, much better and more conplete, much mor!

1) after loading the plane it jumps up and down a short monent, if it stands still - systems are running, engines out! What to do?

2) Is there any possibillity to force the plane to load Cold and Dark or Ready for with Engibes running?

Thnx Tom

Are you using gsx by any chance?. If so thats the issue why the plane is jumping like crazy, been said that, gsx author along with majestic are already working on a proper solution.

That's good to hear. GSX is a great little program so I hope they come to some solution.

Looking forward to flying this plane. Just have to wait till I can install it: authorization screen results in "Invalid Response" every time I try.

I hope for a fast fix for the landing rate issue with virtual airlines ACARS. Not funny to land with a landing rate at +2000 fpm.

Payd 50€ for this but have to use freeware Dash to fly my flights for VA:s ?

Otherwise i love this aircraft :-)

If GSX is causing this problem how can I disable GSX to avoid the bouncing?

Cheers Tom

Do any of you fellows use XP64..if so where does it install the aircraft ?

On my system I have the OS on © and FSX on (E) and it installs on (E/FSX)

but in SimObjects  Airplanes....not a folder of its own..is this correct ?

The problem I have is ..after installation..I pick any re-paint..lets say AC or Porter,

and press fly now..and it will not load the aircraft..saying microsoft has a problem

and will close,

I tried to load a default aircraft and switch to the Q-400...but that only brings up

a grey outline of the VC,

No matter what I do it will not load the aircraft  !!!

This is after three complete uninstall and re-install efforts,

Anyone else experiencing the same,

I ask here as there is no support..being sunday and they are busy with activations,

Totally disappointed with this....never happens with other addons,

Best Regards

I had the sound problem every time I made a flight yesterday. Late in the night I considered what was the difference from my first flight (the tutorial) when no sound problem was detected. I found out that the only difference was running OPUS after the first flight and that I used the flight planner in Fsx after the tutorial. With or without OPUS did not change anything, but when I start my flights by only set up the location and not use the flight planner I have not experienced any sound problem. Now three troublefree flights with full sound all the way. Before I did this the sound crashed every time.

Wow. I mean really -- it's magnificent. The sound is awesome. Props in beta is just spectacular. Very bug free from what I can tell and it is smooth as silk. Frames are very good and the VC is just beautiful. I was a fan of the Dash 8-300 they made but this one is just beautiful. I hope when they update the 300 it is just as spectacular.

Haha just totally crashed this bird ><

Was flying on ap descending, and when it was leveling off I did not monitor the speed close enough.. With the result that I just pumped the engines on max thrust, and just heard the stall horn.. Got some buffeting and had to struggle to maintain level flight.. After some struggeling I lost the left engine, and aparently my right engine couldnt keep me flying at 26k kgs 130 knots so I ended up somewhere in the baltic sea..

For those having landing issues, and this may need to be confirmed but it works on the 300. The plane has no speed brakes, The prop pitch is used to slow the plane. When it is set to fine the prop becomes literally a dsic and slows the plane Turboprops are a funny thing but fun to fly.

I'll have to give this a try as well. I can also confirm that this happens with or without Opus. However, I believe everytime I have had this issue as well, I have also loaded a flight plan with the FSX flight planner. Can't see what it has to do with sound, but I've seen stranger things.
