April 21, 201313 yr On the radio panel where you see ATC1 (bottom right), hold that LSK for 2 seconds. That turns it on off. Single press then "EXP" key brings up all the options. I assume you're talking about the switch to display traffic on the MFD NAV display? If so, this is located on the MFD settings panel. There's a left and right one on their respective sides on the forward pedestal. It's one of the panels on the furthest left (or right) column just a bit in front of the throttle housing. One of the flat push buttons says TCAS. If you're talking about turning on the transponder (technically not TCAS), then press and hold the bottom right LSK on the ARCDU for 2 seconds. Great thanks very much!
April 21, 201313 yr Moderator 7. ? Option for 2 seperate FMS versus copying FMS 1 -> 2 - I don't have a copilot to program his FMS and I'm not going to do it twice. So far, I've just been leaving it off, but perhaps FMS1 could just be cloned to FMS2? This really isn't too bothersome, hence the reason it's last on the list. Great suggestions, I like em all ;-) Regarding your point 7, hoping I'm understanding you correctly, it provides that function so you won't have to program twice. Just open FMS2, hit LSK2 (xfill fpl) and voila :-) If I remember correctly you can also crossfill fuel info. April 21, 201313 yr I had the sound problem every time I made a flight yesterday. Late in the night I considered what was the difference from my first flight (the tutorial) when no sound problem was detected. I found out that the only difference was running OPUS after the first flight and that I used the flight planner in Fsx after the tutorial. With or without OPUS did not change anything, but when I start my flights by only set up the location and not use the flight planner I have not experienced any sound problem. Now three troublefree flights with full sound all the way. Before I did this the sound crashed every time. that's an interesting problem. i've used the default planner several flights now (to load the plan for voxATC) and not had any issues with crashes. go figure.. cheers -andy crosby
April 21, 201313 yr Forgive me if this has been mentioned before but can someone help me to control the plane above 40 knots when taking off? I use a CH yoke but no rudder pedals. FSX is on Autorudder as with all my planes. I can steer with the yoke whilst taxiing but on the TO run it just switches off once I build up speed. JON GREEN
April 21, 201313 yr Has anyone seen a CTD on exiting FSX after finishing a flight with this bird? Thanks Vu Pham i7-13700K 5.2 GHz OC, 64 GB RAM, RTX5090, SSD for Sim, SSD for system. MSFS2020, XP-12, DCS
April 21, 201313 yr Has anyone seen a CTD on exiting FSX after finishing a flight with this bird? yeah, happens to me a lot (maybe every time?) i thought it might be related to my addons (ezdok, voxatc, active sky) but i've been lazy about trying to identify the problem since it works fine anyway cheers- andy crosby

I don't like CTD, it usually means something was not cleaning up properly on exit such as the external engine ran by Majestic. When their site is back up, I will raise this with them. However you are right, everything else is working pretty well. Vu Pham i7-13700K 5.2 GHz OC, 64 GB RAM, RTX5090, SSD for Sim, SSD for system. MSFS2020, XP-12, DCS
April 21, 201313 yr 11 hours, 46 mins and over 9 and a bit sectors logged so far and two more to go today, not bad... ^_^ Anyone notice if you go to the external view and then pause and unpause FSX, the pilots seem to adopt the brace position...   Would like to see the doors implemented through the MCDU, and also the ability to load fuel without having to minimize FSX, preferably through the MCDU like with the NGX. I'm not sure if it's a fault or just somethign it does, but the FMA often reverts to pitch in the vertical mode from either VNAV or GS it'll just switch to Pitch Hold, so maybe someone could clarify if it's supposed to do that? Her FDE is amazing, best out there at the moment, has anyone else tried to stall her? It's fantastic. Either way, really great bird, and certainly enjoy flying her. Regards, Ró. Rónán O Cadhain.

After reviewing the manual (yes, I have admit, I haven't read every single bit yet), apparently it does send the route to the other FMS. Given that, I mostly retract point 7 in my post. I don't want to program a whole route, but pressing an extra button I'm happy to do. that's an interesting problem. i've used the default planner several flights now (to load the plan for voxATC) and not had any issues with crashes. go figure.. cheers -andy crosby How does VoxATC handle the clearance and transponder setting? I too had this problem that seems to have gone away once I left the flight planner alone. However, leaving the flight planner alone also means that I didn't talk to ATC for clearance, etc. I've noticed that after requesting clearance (defualt ATC), FSX is unable to set the Dash 8's transponder like it does for most aircraft. I'm wondering if when FSX tries to set the transponder, it breaks something. Does VoxATC behave similar to FSX ATC in this manner or is it different? Eric Szczesniak

I sorted my route on FMS1, pressed Xfill on FMS1 (thinking it would apply to 2) and it just blanked the route. Did the route again, this time doing Xfill on FMS2 and everything went OK Karl Brooker

FSX is on Autorudder as with all my planes. I can steer with the yoke whilst taxiing but on the TO run it just switches off once I build up speed. This may be the time to get rudder pedals... it controls quite nicely that way... Look at Saitek Combat rudder pedals, I have them along with the CH yoke and they work well together. Bert

I'm clueless really... It catches you really of guard too... Regards, Ró. Rónán O Cadhain.

April 21, 201313 yr I don't know about you guys, but I'd like a few more external camera views. Maybe I'm just spoiled by AXE... Bryan Ott
