May 17, 201313 yr Not much scenery in this list. :( Indeed, but there are some goodies coming: - FlightBeam Dulles KIAD - FlyTampa Toronto CYYZ - SunSkyJet Detroit KDTW As for aircraft, I think all of the big ones really have been covered that are known or rumored for this year or next. Personally looking forward to Enigma's 737 Classic range, the RA/A2A C172's, QW to release the 146 expansion, and the Aerosoft/DA CRJ. Regards,Kyle
May 17, 201313 yr I do not believe that anybody so far as mentioned the sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooon to be released PFPX. It's just around the corner, honest... Ian R Tyldesley
May 17, 201313 yr I can't for that Metroliner to be developed. My hometown airlines have ton's of Metroliners. Michael Ignagni

May 17, 201313 yr devs want to add more features and make their products better but once we add all this up......most people get a crash and complain about memory limits. Slowly and eventually payware will be released in 32 and 64 bit.......just like when you buy a Video Game: you have a choice of PS3, XBOX, NINTENDO or PC versions of the same game. As much as I hate it, I believe I have quit buying payware for FSX. I am moving to XPX10-64. I just bought the Carenado TBM850, but now I wish I had waited until they released it for X-Plane. I am getting OOMs with it also. I have never had them with GA aircraft, but the TBM850 is probably as resource intensive as some modern tube-liners. I will still use FSX to explore MegaSceneryEarth v.2 states that I have, using my GA aircraft, but that will be all. I'm just going to focus on buying payware for XPX10-64 for now on. Robert Yunque
May 17, 201313 yr Same here. I wish we had the quality of FlyTampa globally; but, it would perhaps be impossible. I've been to FTX site to check the screen-shots of their "global" project, but honestly did not impress me a bit. In way, I'm looking forward to to PMDG 777-300, 747 V.2, Aerosoft A-330 and A-340 , and BBS- A-330 and A-340...And of course FSL Airbus versions.
May 17, 201313 yr 32bit to 64bit C++ source code converter for Windows platform ... PVS-Studio is getting close, it's a tool that will make the job 1000X faster http://www.viva64.com/en/pvs-studio-download/ ... something I hoped the P3D folks would have picked up on. P3D folks are using SlimDX so PVS-Studio seems like a natural addition ... going to 64bit code and DX11 should be a lot faster. Still not easy, but makes a 2-3 year project become a 1 year project. Too bad the ESP isn't affordable, I think there are plenty of other dedicated developers willing to take the job on - I know I'd join such an effort. It's a shame Microsoft can't see the benefits of make the source code available to an open initiative. Rob

May 18, 201313 yr Some of us more "Jurassic" people around here can recall a time before addons, due to the early limitations of FS 5 (my first iteration of MSFS) through FS7, if I'm correct. That was a limitation of the technology and OS at the time. I hope we never go back to that. The question of new planes, scenery, etc. never came up, we focused more on what we did with what we had (6 planes), how to fly them- most of us could have almost done a PPL test in a Cessna and passed, as we were so focussed on that plane.... My question- and I hope it never comes to pass- but if developers ever get to the point that FSX is not worth developing for, and if there is no successor to FSX in the MSFS line, so the question posed by this thread is meaningless- would you stay with FSX with what we have now and what is being developed that we know of, but no more development. In other words, is "flying" what you like, or is "what's coming next" the important aspect? I'll say again, I hope we never get to this point. Most RL pilots fly only several planes, none of which are usually "new"- most are decades old, in fact.... Thanks, Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
