Here's a video of the new documentary. I believe the password is "epix123" (without the quotation marks)

PS: The video is 1hr 45min long.

PC Specs(Rebuilt 1/11/19): i7-9700K - Non-OC'd, EVGA RTX 2080ti, G.Skillz 16GB Ram 3000mhz, EVGA SuperNOVA 1000w PSU, Cooler Master ML360R, ASRock Phantom Gaming 4 MoBo, 2x 2TB HDD, 1x 1TB Samsung EVO SSD, 1x 220GB WD SSD

I'm withholding comment until they actually present their evidence (which is not possible for another month, because reasons?) and don't make me pay for it.

Wow, I will watch it.  However, I will also be really disappointed if it is another one of those "The 737NG isn't safe" witch-hunts.

I remember this one like it was yesterday. It was always sad when an aircraft of this size has crashed.

This was a 747-131 built in 1971 and crashed in 1996. Either it was a missile, or a 25 year old aircraft with 16,869 flights and 93,303 hours that encountered a mechanical problem.

The report has said a spark ignited fuel vapour. Not sure how many times this has happened on a commercial airliner.

After 18 months of investigation no evidence, residue, fragments or anythings from a missile was ever found, other then eyewitness' report saying their was a flash of light below the aircraft (which could have been fuel that was ignited).

Here's the news in your flavor: http://www.cnn.com/2013/06/19/us/twa-crash-claim/index.html?hpt=hp_t2

The fact of the matter is that this crash wasn't cut and dry like most other air disasters.  If there is strong enough evidence to reconsider the cause of the crash then I think it is a good thing to take a second look at the investigation.

Daniel Walton

IMHO, this is simply an attempt by the film maker to get free publicity for his film.  Serious crash investigation is rarely 'cut and dry' - Egyptair 990 at sea, United 585 at KCOS, Arrow Air 1285 at Gander, and USAir 427 at Aliquippa were great examples of that. The Flight 800 investigation was one of the most intensive investigations ever conducted by NTSB and did result in center fuel tank modifications for Boeing aircraft.  In spite of the news rhetoric, all available data (including radar) was reviewed and there were five days of public testimony at a public hearing.  I doubt if this is going anywhere.

I never believed that CIA fairytale video,

Wheres the zoom climb?!?!

I don't understand why some find the zoom climb so unbelievable. the cockpit breaks off in the explosion severing all control cables and engine control. Engines will still run on fuel in the wing tanks and most likely would speed up until they destroyed themselves or ran out of fuel. Many possible scenarios could have caused the zoom climb.

The video you posted has no relevance to TWA 800 different plane different circumstances. Even if you caused the exact explosion in in another 747-100 with the exact load and balance you would probably end up with different results. There is just way to many variables

When you loose 78000 pounds(nose section) the resultant massive cg shift will cause the a/c to rotate around its center of lift, just like that F15 did.just like many witnesses saw.

It has happened before, I recall a sister ship in Iran where the centre tank blew after an extremely hot day and it was sitting with the air con packs running. Luckily it was at the gate empty.

I am also told others have suffered a similar fate, so it is not such a strange, hard to believe possibility.

the CG would shift rearward and cause it to climb until it lost energy. Plus Eyewitnesses have been wrong and conflicting on many investigations, including simple details at close range. I would not put a lot of faith in what people saw from miles away.

Yes this is why I believe the original report to be a fair assessment or something similar causing fuel to explode. Not a missile or a conspiracy that it was a runaway missile from the Navy. Their would have been more evidence if this was the case.

The US Government is so porous with leaks they would have a very hard time trying to cover up something like that. But people like their conspiracy theories, and so does Fox

I digress. Agree, something like this, accident or not, would be very hard to put a lid on. Still a sad story, and we have to keep in mind the relatives of those who perished.
