September 6, 201312 yr No problem with the 777 in dx10. Wonder if it would be easier for Steve to sell through flight 1 or another publisher. I'm awaiting this fix as much as I was waiting for the 777. "I am the Master of the Fist!" -Akuma

How about those ugly old airports with black textures, missing textures? How about snow? How about car headlights? How about all those old aeroplanes? Aircraft lights? I think Steve will make note of these remarks, Jeroen, and will charge you double, disable your patches, and put you at the very bottom of the list!! ...and make it so it doesn't understand Dutch! :LMAO: :LMAO: All the Best! :drinks: :friends: Yes... September 6, 201312 yr What about one of those ecommerce stores that are prebuilt. Like an ebay store or amazon? They take paypal and would automate things. CYVR LSZH I7-14700k 64gb 6000Mhz DDR5 ASUS z690 ROG STRIX Gaming RTX 4080 Super,

September 6, 201312 yr One of the established stores is going to be the best course. They can create an instal wrapper and use their server based authentication. Will cost him a percentage of the cost, but takes care of distribution as well as server, delivery and basic pirating issues. Simmarket, or with Orbx's need to have it fix their FTXG DX10 lighting maybe flightsimstore could be a good option? Danny Hicks
September 6, 201312 yr Simmarket, or with Orbx's need to have it fix their FTXG DX10 lighting maybe flightsimstore could be a good option? Why not both? It would cover "Orbx country" and Europe distribution pretty well. September 6, 201312 yr Author This question may have already been answered and I just have overlooked it but to prepare for the big day next week - how do we handle all the tweaks made using the "DX10 How to do Guide"? Will the "fixer" just overwrite the shaders, lights, etc or should I remove everything prior to using Steve's new software? Hi Carl! The latest three versions have the ability to recognise this, and so it won't matter - however, my personal thought is that I will remove the ShadersHLSL folder and re-install the stock folder, but letting it rebuild the shaders cache folder. That will also work, and very safely. To give you a small taste, here are three or four pages of the almost-complete 62-page manual. September 6, 201312 yr Man I can't wait for this. Especially glad that it sounds like it can go in and remove previously applied DX10 fixes (applied via the current way) since I forgot to back up everything apparently before jumping in to DX10 lol. I haven't found anything obviously odd when I turn off DX10 but I'm sure there could be something. September 6, 201312 yr I saw those post but looking for some pmdg official statement, I dont think they support dx10 Rich Sennett
September 6, 201312 yr Author I assume you mean the aircraft which John, post #240 called the "T7" - short for Triple-7" ? The PMDG Boeing 777-200 LRF? Jim posted on this about for days ago, Richard - here's the post. Aren't we all the most helpful bunch? i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
September 6, 201312 yr I saw those post but looking for some pmdg official statement, I dont think they support dx10 Just because they don't officially support it doesn't mean it doesn't work though. From what I understand the two main problems you can have with airplanes are if it was designed for FS9 (which PMDG definitely is not) you can end up with white airplanes with no liveries because the texture files are not in a DX10 compatible format (DX10 fixer tool will fix that) and the other potential problem with planes is the lights not showing at certain angles. I don't know all the details on that one (although I believe the fixer tool is supposed to be able to fix problem airplanes) but I do know that I have a high quality freeware Citation X that does have lighting issues. If the landing lights are not on, nav/strobes don't show at certain angles or at all (seems to depend on what lights REX loaded) but my Qualtywings Avro series has zero problems at all with any lighting. Of course QW says in their FAQ specifically that the plan is compatible with DX10 though. September 6, 201312 yr HMM thought I read T777 was not dx10 supported ? I haven't noticed any issues yet with DX10, but I'll keep looking. If you have questions - please don't hesitate to ask! PayPal is easy, it's even easier to setup a web site (GoDaddy will do this) that will have a PayPal payment link. PayPal does take a % cut (aka fee). But I do think some type of DRM is needed or Steve is under estimating the sales potential. Either way, I can wait an extra month or so ... it's not the end of the world if it's delayed.
September 6, 201312 yr Thanks Paul, Also good to see a preview of the instructions. Now we just have to wait for the big day. This may make more headlines than the T7. (LOL).
