Yes I know that, but what I mean is e.g Run the NGX in default scenery and it performs decent. Add Orbx AU and a complex airport when flying the NGX and the performance goes down, add some live weather with HD clouds and the performance goes furter down, add ProATC and it eats some more of that cake add FS2Crew etc etc you now where Im going... Now run these addons individually and they don't take to much of the frames, but combine them all and the performance gets sucked out of FSX, that's my whole point. So when ED Wilson says it's poor addon development that causes poor performance in FSX I don't buy that, because induvidually each of these addons don't take to much of the performance, It's having all these addons combined thats the problem. Who to blame for all this It's not upto me to judge but this is how our sim reality is... Still haven't seen any link to that hint  The last I heard was sometime in 2014, if that hint has changed I would like to see it... Mork, on 03 Jul 2013 - 9:59 PM, said: It didn't make sense to me because I have no problems with a higher setting with high-detailed scenery and the NGX Could be because you don't have any autogen in that photoscenery and from what I have expirienced autogen eats alot of VAS
July 3, 201312 yr No more than your unconfirmed speculation that PD3 2.0 will be released in 2014. At least I can point to some statements by LM themselves. Thanks for the note though! Go ahead and link them.
July 3, 201312 yr http://www.prepar3d.com/forum-5/ So no link to any actual statements then? I googled "prepar3d 2016" just for fun and all I found was statements by you. Nothing from any developers. 2014 is speculation as well, but at least I can find different comments from different people (some claiming to be in the know) about it. It's also logical to suspect that it's not going to take LM 4 more years to finish an update they've been working on for almost 4 years now. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. We all are at some points. Everyone only has bits and pieces to put together and I just don't buy 2016.

July 4, 201312 yr http://www.prepar3d.com/forum-5/ From an interview at Flightsim.com, posted April 20th; "We're excited about the future of Prepar3D's new rendering capability and are eager to be able to release it to the community in 2013." How'd that become 2016?
July 4, 201312 yr Hello sidh ! ..... all the above comments & advices, is a proof that FSX is Old Outdated piece of software Big bulky behemoth. There are way to many add-on, Hardware & software trying to improve & or fix issues... from my experience you solve one, you create two others. If you like tech challenges & spending most of your time walk around/ fix problems, FSX is the right place for you. If for some reason, you just wanna fly (like me), well, to a certain extend, learn to except problems (the very same tactics you use with spouses & bosses), or just quit ..... FSX is, basically, passe, obsolete ..with your HD spec, you can .probably, design the next space shuttle, but trying to 'SQUEEZE" FSX wouldn't be very cost effective ...as a RW Student Pilot I'm trying to focus an FSX advantages, & just ignore all the rest. Hope it make sense :Peace: Cheers Yair
July 4, 201312 yr Actually no that's not quite right, you would buy the addons for FSX as well and you can use them in FSX. That's not a problem - that's a fact. How'd Microsoft FSX work out for you? Oh yes! They cancelled it and fired the programmers! My point being that ANY developer can pull the plug at ANY time - that is not a valid reason for not buying the product. Entertainment or non entertainment - it is available to anyone who has $50 - WITH a money back guarantee - it's worth a look is all that I am saying. Personally I find it faster, smoother and better looking than FSX but each person is different. Vic Yes..you are both correct. I must have had XPlane on the brain when considering addons. Sorry for the confusion. July 4, 201312 yr Which p3d license I should go for? I can spend 50$ license.. Is it monthly bases? After 1 month i have to pay 50$ again? Also How about addons compatibility ? Thanks Not everything works with P3D so be careful.
July 4, 201312 yr Because when loading FSX knows where you want to start the plane from, right? Maybe it leaves something behind in the memory, I don't know, would have to test this myself. Isn't that where the DisablePreload tweak is for? To NOT load scenery that FSX would load by default? Anyway, I disabled all continents and places (didn't even know FSX came with a few 'add-on places'!) that I don't fly above (all FSX default because right now I don't have any addon scenery installed apart from Norway where I actually fly). Didn't immediately noticed a difference but I will check the coming days.
July 4, 201312 yr P3d can't see that being viable for most at this time. FSX will dominate for a while till X-Xplane surpass it . Orbx is not smart when they X-Plane over the bridge as improvements are being made to Xplane all the time.

That isn't really a tweak, it only tells FSX not to load the scenery/plane of the default flight when starting the main FSX window. And you didn't notice a difference in what? Did you have OOM's before? Or do you mean loading times? Because it can only help with those things. Mark
July 4, 201312 yr I said " it's on the developer to ensure their product performs well". You've reinterpreted that to mean it performs like a default aircraft, which are horribly simplistic in design. Your reinterpretation aside, the Eaglesoft Citation X v2 performs well as far as frame rates are concerned. Eaglesoft Citation X v2 is one of the best if not the best performing complex jet for FSX, but I think polygon count is a very serious factor on FPS count in FSX as well, isn't it? Dirk.
