September 19, 201312 yr Anyone other than yours truly fatigued by the over dominance of PMDG T7 traffic crowding the list of Recent Forum Topics here? Topics about other subject matter are getting washed away in the deluge. Seems way too saturated for a an industry wide flight simulation site. Does PMDG not have their own web site with forums for all of this? September 19, 201312 yr Their official PMDG forums are hosted here on/by AVSIM. Different from the 'unofficial' forums for ORBX, Captain Sim and others. What happened to AVSIM
September 19, 201312 yr It was that way a year prior to it's release. Little over zealous. "How did you land your PMDG 777 today"
September 19, 201312 yr Avsim is the host of the PMDG forums and there is no other PMDG forum on the net. I personally don't mind all the topics, it's a fantastic aircraft. Thanks, Kevin L
September 19, 201312 yr Author Perhaps Tom and staff could separate PMDG topics into a separate framed list below the Latest Forum Topics list? Tatave, I understand the quality of the model, and the quality from PMDG in general, the recent topics list is just getting too saturated. And perhaps it is time for PMDG to provide their own forums. September 19, 201312 yr It's standard procedure for a highly anticipated aircraft. The forum traffic will die down eventually. It probably wouldn't make much difference if PMDG had their own forum on their own site.

September 19, 201312 yr It was the same way with the NGX. This too shall pass. Great words to live by. Dylan Charles "The aircraft G-limits are only there in case there is another flight by that particular airplane. If subsequent flights do not appear likely, there are no G-limits."
September 19, 201312 yr I use the mark Forum as "read" button, and then they don't show up if the "Content I have not read" option is ticked. Eugene (No disrespect to the 777 posters, just not on my purchase list yet.)
September 19, 201312 yr I use the mark Forum as "read" button, and then they don't show up if the "Content I have not read" option is ticked. I've done that but they still come up under "Recently discussed forum topics" in the New Content Feed. Anyone other than yours truly fatigued by the over dominance of PMDG T7 traffic crowding the list of Recent Forum Topics here? Topics about other subject matter are getting washed away in the deluge. Seems way too saturated for a an industry wide flight simulation site. Glad to hear I'm not the only one who feels like this! I have removed the PMDG 777 forum from my Avsim new content feed, so in theory it should no longer show up as recent and unread content, but it continues to occupy about half of my new content feed! It'd be nice if people could stick to posting PMDG 777 topics in the PMDG 777 forum; they are seemingly appearing everywhere and I am sick to the back teeth of them, there seems to be no escape from that product, it's taking over every FS community! Maybe I am going against the zeitgeist but I've no interest in hearing about it continuously in every FS community, it's burying everything else (that I may actually want to read)! [/rant] It's standard procedure for a highly anticipated aircraft. The forum traffic will die down eventually. The "standard procedure" I don't mind, but the PMDG 777 is on an entirely different level; I cannot think of another release that has saturated the forums in this manner. There are even topics in the XPlane forum about the thing! ckyliu, proud supporter of ViaIntercity.com. i5 12400F, 32GB, RTX4070, more in "About me" on my profile.

Topics about other subject matter are getting washed away in the deluge. Seems way too saturated for a an industry wide flight simulation site. Does PMDG not have their own web site with forums for all of this? I hear ya. The 777 is what's trending at the moment, so I get it. But some of these threads are pretty darn hoakey: Where is Your 777 Now? First Flight Etc., etc. I especially liked the talk about doing a delivery flight to the airline's hub. That's cute. I think I may start another thread now: "What are you wearing when you fly the PMDG 777?" I'm not a betting man, but I'd be willing to bet that there at least a few people who wear airline uniforms, complete with name badges, when they fly this bird. That reminds me, I need to go iron my shirt. I'm flying tonight, and I have a 5pm preflight.
September 19, 201312 yr Another problem may be that there are a lot of T7 (as well as other PMDG aircraft) topics being started in the MS FSX forum instead of one of the PMDG forums. Perhaps someone can monitor those posts and move them to the appropriate forum? _________________________________________________________________________ Bob "roadwarrior" Werab Config: ASUS Prime Motherboard, RYZEN 5, 32 GB Ram, Radeon RX5700 XT, 2 TB SSD
September 19, 201312 yr Hmm, so my comment will be like a fly in the ointment. From the first flight i was thinking that something is giving me false impression about flying this beast. I figured out what was is it. I would never imagine that i will say that - this bird has too much power !! Flying T7 is like flying some ridiculously oversized F15. With low plane load this power is overwhelming. Climbing 2500 ft/min being already at FL300 - this is fighter jet... This huge power destroys whole feeling of having huge wide body liner. Somehow i still prefer 737 ... To be clear, not even one bad word about PMDG - they did their job perfectly as always. Artur
September 19, 201312 yr We have to post alternatives. B) 1) Where's your default glider now? 2) See my B-17 pics, Atlantic crossing! 3) The tweak that changed my life. Wait, we already had that one. On a more serious note, I'm actually pretty excited to see how that new DX10 payware tool turns out. Maybe it enables a change for the better and offers some more headroom for the dreaded oom margins. Now that's a 777 topic, huh? ^_^
