Looks like he was running it at 2-4 frames/second there.

I know there's a lot of money in aviation because I put it there.

Makes you wonder what his frames were like.

Although I enjoy all of these screenshots, no one is posting preliminary performance results along with their hardware specs.  This has me worried to say the least.

From what I've read, the fog has a very small FPS impact. It's done by the GPU after all. You know that multi-billion transistor chip inside our PCs that mostly sits idle when playing FSX or P3D 1.4.

There's the fog...
Then there's the bajillion buildings.

Do you honestly think it will be <= FSX.

The fact that the GPU is being used at last will mean the frame rates will outstrip FSX with the same system and addons.

I believe that what ever VAS they saved will be use by users with more complex add on = the same at the end, don't fool yourself, new games with advance use of the GPU and CPU can bring your PC to its knee, did you look at what's required to run V2.0.

People are still in the FSX frame of mind. This platform is now DX11 optimized and now uses your GPU. I would bet the frame rates are actually half decent at demanding scenery levels.

When taking today's tech into consideration, IMO half decent frames is nothing under 60fps.

For those that didn't quite get what Alain said I will rephrase.

They will have made better use of the VAS available to them so that you lucky fools will actually be able to run more complex add-ons while still getting the same frame rate you used to get with FSX.

Strange how exactly the same thing said differently can have a much more positive sound to it.

LOL....not sure it work as you described it but time will tell.

Until I have a highly accurate HD texture driven Boeing 737 with liveries for Southwest available in P3D then I will stick with FSX and probably will anyway as I just dropped quite a bit of money on photoscenery that I don't think works with P3D without doing the long process of conversion.

You need to get out of "console mode" thinking when using PC flight simulators. Framerates of 25fps are perfectly fine in FSX, and they will be perfectly fine in P3D.

The end is nigh for FSX! PMDG, Prepare yourself!
