November 25, 201312 yr OMG. I am now switching to P3D v2, tomorrow as it comes out!!! This is the new flight sim
November 25, 201312 yr Thanks for the post. Looks like P3D2 is it for now. Yeah! How I Evaluate Third Party Sim Addon Developers Refined P3Dv5.0 HF2 Settings Part1 (has MaddogX) and older thread Part 2 (has PMDG 747)
November 25, 201312 yr I daresay this will definitely accelerate the up-take of P3Dv2.0, so come Q1 of 2014, PMDG will find a customer base ready to take up their product which will hopefully run even smoother since the sim appears to handle memory leaks better than good old FSX. Good news for all. Will Reynolds Flight Sim Addict
November 25, 201312 yr suppose flight1 will be next , Hope so. It would be good to have all our buddies at this party
November 25, 201312 yr Look on the bright side... no more annoying threads strated where a poster laments at the absence of PMDG from Prepar3d 2.0. True, but methinks they will now intrude or start more annoying threads moaning about the increased cost of an additional licence.
November 25, 201312 yr suppose flight1 will be next , Well NickN had been saying all along that there will be options for GEX in the future
November 25, 201312 yr Commercial Member Great news, I would surely love to learn more about these airliners on Prepar3d also.
November 25, 201312 yr Look on the bright side... no more annoying threads strated where a poster laments at the absence of PMDG from Prepar3d 2.0. That was the very first thing that crossed my mind when I read the topic title! And I congratulate all those who love PMDG planes! This is good news for all of us because as other already said a divided summing community isn't a good thing. I now also expect far more people to switch to P3D. The Boomtown Rats and The Mama's And The Papa's couldn't have been more wrong…!!!
November 25, 201312 yr ...and for those who bought pmdg 777 for fsx? hope there'll be a strong price reduction for them (included me) ....
November 25, 201312 yr ...and for those who bought pmdg 777 for fsx? hope there'll be a strong price reduction for them (included me) .... I fail to see why. I mean, P3D is a different platform, as is XP. If you bought an aircraft for XP would you then expect a discount because you want to fly the same plane in FSX? November 25, 201312 yr I mean, P3D is a different platform I really don't see how different platform the p3d vs fsx is, except the liscencing. Do they really have to reprogram their airplanes from bottom up to be compatible with p3d? Thanks for any explanation! November 25, 201312 yr suppose flight1 will be next , The ifly already supports p3d Soarbywire - Avionics Engineering
November 25, 201312 yr Before you all get too excited: We are not "going P3D" - Robert was very clear that we are developing for FSX and XPlane10 as consumer sims. P3D is not a consumer sim and the products we release for it will reflect that. And I also think the PRICES will reflect this! So don't expect being able to use your T7 for free in P3D 2.0. You will at LEAST have to pay for it and since PMDG seems to be targeting at the more professional market, I presume prices will be pro too. And PMDG might (this is purely my guess) also ask for proof that you are eligible for whatever license you choose, unlike LM. Don't want to spoil the party but don't buy P3D 2.0 immediately if you only buy it for PMDG. If I were you I'd wait until details have been released in 2014 Q1.
